Talk:Combat Power
Some of the information is incorrect here. To test out the information, I gathered information on someone (Skills, base stats, etc) and found that their CP was totaled to be 700+, whereas using an external program revealed it to be 500~. Can someone verify the data on here and fix it please ? --DeityOfSouls 14:29, 7 October 2008 (PST)
um, are you sure they were calculating it useing their base stats? i think only base stats count toward that. they could have been calculating it with the stats after title buffs.Sozen Cratos Focker 19:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- nvm. i doubt you could make a diference of 200 cp with just stat buffs from titles and food. but i know some people who have mods that let u c cp, and they say they dont work properly sometines, like if they look @ their cp, then restart the game, the cp they see is completely diferent, even tho they have not leveled or annything.
also, you could have calculated something wrong, like if u counted 100% of the cp from the second highest cp giving skill, instead of 50% like the formula says, that could posibly make you off by 200.Sozen Cratos Focker 20:05, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Tendering Potion
I noticed that it says the tendering potion lasts 5 minutes, "One game day." This in an inaccuracy as one game day is 36 minutes. TGFL
- I was wondering where "one game day" came from myself. When I used one in KR, it lasted 5 minutes. Someone needs to use one in NA to find out which one is right there, I guess. ---Angevon
- I've used it in NA once. It didn't last very long. Way less than a game day though. I have a Tendering Potion from the Treasure Chest event. I heard that one actually works for 36 minutes. --Kevin 05:08, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- The ones that came from the treasure chest event were special Tendering Potions that lasted 36 minutes, didn't expire, and were untradeable. The "real" ones that come from the Advanced Play random-item-o-mat are tradeable, expire in a week, and only last 5 minutes. --Naiya 06:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I want to ask... what will happen if you use more than 1 tendering potion? Will the monsters rank up more or will it be ineffective? --Lloyd 08:56, 9 January 2009 (EST)
marble dustin
the cp lowering enchants list says marble enchant can be used on dustin armor, why/how?Sozen Cratos Focker 04:27, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- First you use Union (an enchant that can only be used on Dustin Silver items and can be enchanted without the need for other enchants) then you use Marble. its expensive and risky since your 5m+ Dustin armor could poof when you enchant either Union or Marble on to it. and your chances of success are extremely low. --Jacobpaige 04:52, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Character's CP
I'm getting the impression that people can view their own CP, but I haven't found a way to do this. Do they have to calculate it, or is there a way to view your CP? --Fruitrecruit
- There's a mod in which you can view it, or so I've heard. ---Angevon
- There is indeed a mod that shows CP in numbers for players and mobs... so far I don't know where to find this mod.
- There is a math formula for figuring it out. 100% of the largest CP and 50% of the second largest CP plus math done for stats-before-buffs.
Morrighan
While doing the Rabbie G1 RP with a friend I hit alt during the cutscene at the end. When I did that I noticed that when Morrighan appeared it said Morrighan The Goddess with boss in small font before the name. Should I add it to the list under 1000000 CP like the guards even though you can't fight her during that time? --GN54 00:44, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- All NPCs have a combat power, even though all you do is talk to them...so no. --Dysprosium 16:05, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
the combat power of npcs is basicaly useless in this chart. and for the record, its not 1000000, morighan and cicol have 99999 cp. Sozen Cratos Focker 20:16, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
What about Nao? It says she has "Weakest". ~ Shadowboy132
Nao has 0, and i think so does Aer, most other npcs have 2000 Sozen Cratos Focker 04:11, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Actually its 1998 cp, or at least according to what my friend says, who has the mod that lets you see cp. It may be a glitch though XD--♫ѕταя♪ 00:43, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- I remember that npcs had 2000 cp a long time ago, but now it's 1998. last time i saw morrighan she had 9999.98 cp (oh wait who invented over 9000? XD)--黄恒升 ☞ 评论 ☜ 01:13, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think Dragonballz did. --Kevin (»Talk«) 04:55, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Adding CP Enchants
Anyone mind listing some enchants that add CP? --Internetz
- They're already in the article, if you'll just read it. --Naiya 07:34, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, but it's only enchants that lower CP, not add. Or have I missed it somewhere? --Internetz
- Its not listed in the here but if u look in the Enchant list for scar items *Black Scar, Red Scar, and Green Scar all give +CP*. I'm not sure what else gives +CP.
- I've looked through all old lists of enchants ordered by rank, and the scar items are the only ones on the wiki right now that add cp, i'm pretty sure they're the only ones in-game here in NA aswell. I think I did see some +cp enchants on a foreign wiki, but those probably aren't out in north America.

Smash Inconsistency
CP at rank 1 for Smash in Smash lists as 300, where as on this page it lists for 320. Can someone verify? --Skynet 15:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
List of skills
I've been looking around for a list of all the skills where CP is integral in determining how quickly they rank. The only example I ever see is Windmill. ---Insensate 11:57, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Chart of Calculating one's own CP
Is there even an easier chart to follow? This all looks really complicated... ~ Darkblade132
- That's shows the amount of CP each skill adds. To figure out your CP, you add the CP from the skill that gives you the highest amount of CP, and half of the CP for the skill that gives you the 2nd most CP. If it's still to confusing, this can help: [1]. Click the CP calculator tab. --Link 04:49, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- Which skill is chosen if you have multple skills giving the same CP?
- Example: I have R1 Smash + R2 CM + R6 Defense; CM and Defense add the same CP at those ranks. --Junjun 23:56, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- no way of knowing. Why would you even want to?--Sozen Cratos Focker 11:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- Because the mabi.osayidan.net never seems to add up my CP properly. It shows it as 986, when White Dire wolves I see are labeled "Weak" which have 1015 CP... >_>
- Had to do my CP by hand, cause apparently, it's throwing my numbers off by at least 70+
- I did the math by hand, and I'm almost sure I'm under 1100, but I can't be sure, since I don't know if even wiki's listings are accurate...--Junjun 22:52, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- So far, everything I've seen suggests they're accurate.
Doing the calculations by hand is no different from having a program do it for you unless either you're bad at math or the program was written wrong. If two skills are tied for first place, it doesn't matter which one is used first, it won't change the result.
If A = 400, and B = 400, then A = B, A + B / 2, and B + A / 2 are both 400 + 400 / 2 = 600.--Sozen Cratos Focker 06:21, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

I don't know where to put this so i'm putting it here. I made a downloadable excel version of the CP calculator used on that website. It uses wiki information and the formula. Check it all you want, it works exactly the same as that site, just people can save it without having to always re-enter info. http://www.filedropper.com/mabinogicpcalc If you guys test it and clear it for being useable, feel free to publish it on the CP main page. - Tondra
Alchemy
I've taken the data from all of the existing alchemy pages and thrown them into the skill CP sections. I didnt know what color code was being used, so i used one that seemed to fit. --Zaros 04:21, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Uh, well, alchemy skill icons are red/yellow right? why not make the alchemy boxes here orange? A very light, very dull orange.--Sozen Cratos Focker 07:39, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Just want to make sure. Crash shot does not give skill cp? Maybe im blind but I don't see it on the list so I assume it doesn't based on the information given, but it is one of the highest AP usage skills and gives a lot of talent points; which I thought would make it give a little skill cp if not a lot.
If it does give skill cp, can someone add it?
Just making sure we didn't miss it by accident.
Here is an idea I had I wanted to discuss; how about we add a list of skills that use combat power-based training methods? (Even if only one method in the higher ranks uses it.)
Oh I didn't see the spoiler box, thank you. Though it's still not as detailed as I had in mind, actually listing the kind of requirements it asked.
Made a PDF a while back for a list of CP reduction Enchants, how to bridge to them, etc. I was wondering if this might be posted on the small list on this page relevant to this file. Here's the download link - http://www.mediafire.com/?41orj58a4av1cnz
