Description
A skill where you can swallow low HP monsters and turn it into a statue. If you have gold, silver, or copper plate, the statue will be of that matching color. You can use the Swallow skill on a monster regardless of the skill it is using, however, it takes a lot of energy and takes long to charge so you should be aware of that. |
Details
- Swallow is a unique active ability for Antique Mimics and Wooden Mimics which lets them swallow an enemy and turn them into a fixed statue.
- The pose of the swallowed monster will be random.
- Different monsters have different poses, with some monsters having more poses than others.
- Having a Copper, Silver or Gold Plate in your Mimic's inventory will make the statue's color result correspond with the plate.
- The statue will have a random quality.
- The quality is a sum of the statue's random pose, the mimic's level, and the quality of the statue's material.
- Swallow uses 12 MP.
- The monster target of Swallow must have very low CP.
- Specifically, the monster cannot have more than 999 combat power.
- Contrary to popular belief, the combat power of the player's pet does not appear to affect which monsters can or cannot be Swallowed.
- Regardless of the combat power of the pet, a Manchurian White Bear Cub (1000 CP) cannot be Swallowed while a Gray Jungle Wolf (999 CP) can.
- While most normal Golems cannot be swallowed, player-summoned Stone Golems can due to their low CP.
- Other notable examples include: Unicorn (Monster), Hamlet
- For a list of monsters with 999 combat power or less, see Swallow/Combat Power Monster List.
- The monster target of Swallow must have very low HP, close to or at Deadly.
- Specifically, the monster cannot have more than 9 health points remaining.
- Some monsters have immunity to swallow and will not turn into statues even if they have low CP and low HP.
- Swallow completely ignores the opponent's defensive skills, including Defense and Counterattack.
- Swallowed enemies do not produce experience.
- There are two ways to use swallow:
- When playing as a humanoid character, first the pet must be targeting the desired monster. Then, the player commands the pet to swallow.
- Preparing swallow before targeting the monster will result in the pet not swallowing the target.
- Players can use the "left shift" + click hotkey to have their pet start targeting the desired monster
- Have the pet far away enough from the desired monster to give yourself enough time to command the pet to swallow.
- When playing as the pet, simply prepare swallow and select the target.
- When playing as a humanoid character, first the pet must be targeting the desired monster. Then, the player commands the pet to swallow.
