Spirit Weapon
- For the pre-G24 version of this feature, see Classic Spirit Weapons.
- For all dialogue options and the spirits' responses, see here.
Spirit Weapons, also known as Egos, are utilized by casting a spirit onto a desirable weapon in order to awaken one's true strength. This spirit ascension process allows for a weapon to become even more powerful than it otherwise would.

Basic Information
- When a weapon is contracted with the spirit, the affected weapons cannot be traded even if a Trade Unlock Potion is used, nor can they be dropped or stored in the Bank or in Pets. They can only be stored in your Inventory or the Me tab.
- The weapon's Special Upgrades, Reforges, and Erg level will remain on it.
- Spirit weapons can now be repaired via NPC Shops.
- Players may now choose any of the spirit avatars regardless of the weapon type.
- Characters cannot use the same name for multiple spirits.
- The spirit level colors are identical to the Classic Spirit Weapons, the only difference being that the glow effect now moves around the weapon instead of staying in place.
- To interact with your spirit, press the / key or click the Spirit Weapon button in the game's Menu bar.
Spirit Ascension Requirements
To utilize the spirit ascension service and create a spirit weapon, you must first complete the quest Meeting the Ancient Spirit.
- Note that you must be cumulative level 500 to receive the quest.
After completing the quest, you can talk to Berched in order to create additional spirit weapons, convert a Classic Spirit Weapon, transfer an existing spirit to another weapon, or destroy a contract.
Additional Spirit Contract
- You will need a weapon to house the new spirit, 5 Elemental Removers
100, and 1 Magical Spirit Stone
100.
Spirit Conversion
- You will need the Classic Spirit Weapon being converted, 5 Elemental Removers
100, 1 Magical Spirit Stone
100, and 1 Spirit Liqueur
100.
- Certain discontinued items will no longer be usable after the upgrade. Additionally, you cannot use the items on spirit weapons created using the ascension system.
- You cannot reverse the change after converting the classic spirit weapon.
- You cannot name your new spirit weapon with the same name of another existing spirit weapon in your possession, however you can continue to use its pre-existing name.
Classic Spirit Weapon Level* | Conversion Level Bonus |
---|---|
Level 1~29 | +5 |
Level 30~34 | +10 |
Level 35~39 | +15 |
Level 40~44 | +22 |
Level 45~47 | +30 |
Level 48~50 | +40 |
*Conversion uses the Classic Spirit Weapon's stat with the highest level for conversion bonus purposes.
Example: A Classic Spirit Weapon with a Luck Level of 50 and other levels at 45 will convert into a Level 90 Spirit Weapon.
- A converted classic spirit weapon will receive the maximum number of Ego Points as would have been obtained if it had been leveled through the current system with maximum bond at each level.
- The skipped Spirit Calling quests will still need to be completed, however.
- Up to three weapons per character may be contracted with the Spirit.
- This also includes any Classic Spirit Weapons that have not been upgraded.
- Therefore it is possible to have two additional spirit weapons created using the ascension process in addition to your existing spirit weapon from before the update.
- The only exception is that you cannot have any overlap between spirit weapons.
- For example, you can have two spirits with split assignment between a blunt and a sword but you cannot assign both spirits to swords.
- This also includes any Classic Spirit Weapons that have not been upgraded.
Spirit Transfer
- 5 Elemental Removers
100 and 1 Spirit Liqueur
100 is required to transfer the Spirit into a different weapon.
- If the target weapon is a different weapon type from the original (e.g. two-handed sword to staff, or a one-handed sword to a two-handed sword), all EP must be unallocated in order to transfer.
- Any Spirit Transformation Liqueurs applied to the source weapon are preserved during the transfer.
- You will not lose any current experience for your level when transferring.
- You will not lose any current EP quest progress when transferring.
- You will not lose any weapons (both source and target) when performing a spirit transfer, and all weapons retain their specific qualities (upgrades, reforges, etc.).
- The spirit name can be changed here, but the spirit avatar cannot be changed.
Destroy Contract
- To destroy the contract with a Spirit, you need 5 Elemental Removers
100, 1 Memory Spirit Liqueur
100, and 1 Empty Spirit Stone
100.
- Upon destroying the contract, a Remembering Spirit Stone
100 will be received if the Spirit's level is 5 or more.
- 50% of the Spirit's level will be preserved, the rest is lost forever.
- If the Spirit's level is less than 5, you will not receive a Remembering Spirit Stone, and the Empty Spirit Stone will still be consumed.
- Remembering Spirit Stone cannot be moved to another character through bank, pets, or other means.
- A message will be shown showing how many levels will be preserved before the contract is destroyed.
- You will have the option to cancel when this message is shown.
- Upon destroying the contract, a Remembering Spirit Stone
Transformation
- To change the effect of the Spirit Weapon, you will need a Spirit Transformation Liqueur. (You do not need to talk to Berched for transformations)
- You can equip up to 3 Spirit Transformation Liqueur effects that can be switched at any time at the bottom of the 'Info' page on the Spirit window.
- Right-clicking a Liqueur on the window will remove the liqueur from the window. (Caution: You will not receive the chosen liqueur item back!)
- Unlike the Spirit Weapon glow colors based on levels, the effect colors from Spirit Transformation Liqueurs have their own colors based on the Spirit Weapon level.
Feeding
- Like Classic Spirits, feeding the spirit certain items, equipment, and gems will increase its Experience Points.
- Though unlike Classic Spirits, the stats (STR,INT,DEX,etc) no longer exist and only the Social Level remains, renamed as the Spirit Level.
- Up to 30 items/equipment/gems may be fed at a time.
- The amount of experience received is determined on the type of item and gem size.
- Each spirit weapon type will have a preferred gem, which will give them bonus experience when fed.

- There is a chance to receive a Great Success on feeding, netting double the experience points of how much that would usually be received.
- Therefore it is recommended to always give the spirit half the experience of what is needed to level up in case the great success activates.
- Raising the spirit's bond meter before feeding is recommended as it will increase the experience multiplier.
- There are two ways to raise the bond meter:
- 1. Remaining in combat with the spirit weapon equipped for 5 minutes will fill up the bond meter by 5% (Exp +1%)
- This can be done by letting monsters attack you. (Make sure to remove equipped gear first to avoid durability loss)
- 2. Clicking the Chat tab in the Spirit window and choosing any of the keywords will fill up the bond meter by 10% (Exp +2%)
- Three keywords can be used once a game-day (36 minutes), filling the bond meter by 30% (Exp +6%).
- To see all dialogue options and the spirits' responses, see here.
- 1. Remaining in combat with the spirit weapon equipped for 5 minutes will fill up the bond meter by 5% (Exp +1%)
- There are two ways to raise the bond meter:
- The max experience multiplier when the spirit bond is filled up to 100% will be +20%.
- There is a weekly amount limit of 400,000 EXP that can be given to each spirit.
- This EXP limit resets on Samhain/Saturday at 7:00am PDT100.
Sealing Items
- It is possible to exclude equipment and miscellaneous items from Spirit Feeding.
- To seal an item, right-click items that appear in the Etc. tab to select them; then click the "Seal Item" button to seal them.
- Sealed items will then appear in the Sealed Item tab. To unseal items, click to select items in this tab, then click "Break the seal" to unseal.
- Non-equipment items will be filtered as Miscellaneous (Misc.) items in the Sealed Item tab.
- Selecting 1 Misc. item of the same type will automatically select all items, and they will appear as 1 Misc. Item in the Sealed tab regardless of how many items of the same type are in the inventory.
- The Empty Bottle, Poison Bottle, Strawberry Cookie Wand, Chocolate Cookie Wand, and Vanilla Cookie Wand are all considered Misc. items despite being equipment.
Ego Points
- Ego Points are used to allocate into the Enhanced tab of the Spirit Window that will give various bonuses to the weapon such as increasing the weapon's Max Damage, Critical Damage, etc.
Receiving Ego Points
- 1 Ego point is received when the Spirit levels up.
- Additional Ego points is also received from Spirit Calling quests that are tasked for every 5 levels the Spirit levels up.
- 1 EP is rewarded for doing the First Calling (Lv 5) up to the Sixth Calling (Lv 30).
- 2 EP is rewarded for doing the Seventh Calling (Lv 35) up to the Fourteenth Calling (Lv 70).

- If the spirit is leveled up while having a full bond meter, additional EP will be awarded, starting at level 55 and again for every 5th subsequent level. From levels 90 to 100, bonus EP will be rewarded each level instead.
- Upon reaching Level 54 on your first spirit weapon, the quest, Spirit of the World will be given to explain about the bonus EP.
Make sure that the ego's bond is at 100% at levels 54, 59, 64, 69, 74, 79, 84, 89, and every level beyond 89.
If you miss the bonus EP for any level, you will not be able to get them otherwise.
This will permanently affect this ego and destroying the spirit will be the only solution!
