Stylesheets access?

Is it possible to grant me editing rights to the stylesheets? Alot of things could be added in that the wiki uses very frequently ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 22:16, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Uhm, please reply :< ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 12:17, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... Could you... Search for

table.mabitable

in Common.css. Then change

background: #f9f9f9;

to

background-color: #fff;

Then search for

table.mabitable th

(it should be a few lines down from the previous search) and change

background: #f2f2f2;

and change it to

background-color: #e7f3e8

and then save. This makes the "mabitable" and "prettytable" class sets the same background colors as most "non-mabitable" tables. It makes it looks nicer :) ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 12:07, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Now we can create tables using even more lazy methods Xp... ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 05:36, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Can you now add:
text-align: center;
margin-right: auto;
margin-left: auto;
to
table.mabitable
? ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 11:56, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

User Page Vandalism

See Special:Contributions/Loopsters. When you "undid" the edit, it still remained. I placed a note on his/her Talk Page in reference to this instance, but this type of activity is... well, less than harmonious. Admin

Upon thought... May I remain an admin for the sole purpose of banning vandals? x.x I seem to ping you here alot for them. I don't really want other admin duties, but I notice that my wiki hours don't always overlap with other ppl's so it may be easier on you guys if I'm all, like, ban hammering the stupid ones. Though to be honest I would really love to chat with you about what you consider vandalism and appropriate block time regarding specific levels of vandalism (ie. Advert spam versus replacing all text with "penis" versus all deletion) before like, the ban hammer duties become permanent/official. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 08:19, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Okay so vandal policy as you stated looks like this?

3 day ban = one or two fake/bad/mildly offensive edits on one or two articles.

week ban = bad edits on multiple articles, inserting a lot of fake info into articles, blanking an article, deleting/changing another's comment on a talk page.

permanent ban = advertisement, very offensive language, continuation of whatever behavior initiated prior bans.

And for all bans there will be notices on their talk page as to why they're banned and for how long... hmm, is there a template for this or should I make one? -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 03:13, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Yes, there is a template for it. Now to find it >.< ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 06:55, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
There's Template:BannedUser, but it doesn't state the length of the ban or the reason, but you can easily add it if you wish. --Powder Rune 07:26, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Testing...

additional idea, I can open up a 'Vandalism' sub-section in my talk page and link to it from the Newbie/Policy page with something like, "If you see vandalism, link to it here so that it can be investigated and dealt with," Also pretty much state flat out and clear the above conditions of banning. (I will not actually do anything tho, unless you give me go ahead. o.o) -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 22:50, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
just to confirm, since the "yes" on my talk page could be in response to any of the items that I'd mentioned, it's a general "go ahead with your plans"-type "yes"? -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 01:32, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Pages that need to be deleted

The list is getting quite large so you really should delete more. All the templates and categories that are listed should be deleted as they are unused and old. Leave the user pages though ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 17:04, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Royal Alchemist's Suit images

I was curious if you could take a look at the history for the female images of the Royal Alchemist Suit? There were ingame screenshots that accurately portray how the coat will look since it's not dyeable, they've been replaced with character simulator versions and i was wondering if it's OK to revert them back since there's a helmet on in some of the images. Navigation Bar

Hi, I'm new to wikis so I don't know how to fix it, but the navigation bar on the left seems to be aligned with the bottom of the page now, which makes it hard to use at times. Could you fix this please? ~thanks, Kirbysama —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirbysama (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Couple of questions
  1. What browser are you using?
  2. Is it only happening on certain pages?
  3. If so, what pages?
--κєνıи тαıĸ«) 22:49, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
IE6 likes to move the navbar down to the bottom cuz it hates you (If that is what you're using) ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 06:51, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

I don't know if anyone did anything, but its at the top again, it was on every page, and I use Firefox —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirbysama (talkcontribs) . Please always sign your comments with the Signature.png button or by typing ~~~~!

Make sure you are using the offical release only and no extensions.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 16:27, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Using official release, and no extensions. I guess there's no need to troubleshoot this anymore, since the problem doesnt exist :) thanks for your help! --Kirbysama 17:08, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Help Request Note

I forgot to take an ss for the note and the quest ><, it appeared in my inv out of nowhere, the quest and note told me that a play named "character name" (mines was named Assis), then if I used the note it would teleport me straight to the beginner, and once I was done I could use the return coupon note to take me back to my original spot. If I get another I'll take an ss. (The Note looked similar to a wish note except with a different description SoraHikari 00:41, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey, Can You Do Something About The Name Colors

I don't care much when I click Recent Changes and see different name colors for administration, but can you please change the color? Seeing very bright green down the list is giving me a headache. --Miyuna 15:33, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

It's a thing I added on. I couldn't think of much colors so I just let the admins decide on what color. They changed it to a darker green which is good :D Discussion is @ the Q&A ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 05:05, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Safe Browsing advisory

As seen in http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/&client=googlechrome&hl=en google marks the wiki main page as potentially dangerous since it is apparently spreading malware. I'm not sure if you're aware of that yet, so I'm saying it here. --Hecate 11:49, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

There's nothing I can do about that. I'm just a regular admin. But the higher-ups know about it. --- Angevon (Talk) 13:19, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Loss of data?

I've tried uploading a few pictures on items and I always get the message, "Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in." When I log out and log back in I still get the same problem. I have only been uploading new versions of pre-existing files, and I haven't tried uploading a brand new file. I have had this problem since the log-in was moved to the forum.--Vif 23:00, 18 December 2010 (PST)

I've been getting that a lot too, uploading pre-existing, new files, and even when editting. I've been experiencing this kind of stuff since the move too. Usually after a couple hours and like 20+ attempts I give up and just leave the page. The wiki keeps not-loading too :L, "ERROR 404". --\(°∀°)/ 23:39, 18 December 2010 (PST)
FINALLY got it to work. I just had to keep trying and trying. The forum says after I get the error to just try uploading again but that hasn't worked until now.--Vif 00:16, 19 December 2010 (PST)

Weapon Stun Times

I was wondering if we should put the weapon stun times on the weapon attribute tables? Stun times are important when using skill chains and combos (such as 1+smash or 1+magic). I already have most of the stun times calculated clocked. The innacurate ones are within +-.1 seconds.

  • 2h melee weapons: 2.4 seconds (possibly innacruate)
  • Normal 3 hit melee weapons: 1.6 seconds
  • Cylinders: 2.09 seconds
  • Slow 2 Hit melee weapons: 1.8 seconds (possibly innacurate)
  • G1 Wands: 1.67 seconds
  • "speed" Wands: 1.6 seconds
  • Fast 3 hit melee weapons: 1.3 seconds (possibly innacurate)

Note to those clocking stun times: Melee stun begins on the first frame of the melee swing animation (assuming you would hit successfully).

Tellos 01:27, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

You should add this to the Knockdown Gauge page ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 05:08, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Stun time and Knockdown Gauge have nothing to do with each other. Stun time is the period of time that the enemy can take no action (aside from loading skills), whereas Knockdown Gauge is the "Combo meter" so to speak. Knockdown Gauge is based directly on the hitcount and speed of the weapon, whereas stun is an independant attribute granted to a weapon. Noteably Cylinders which are which are very slow 3 hit weapons have significantly more stun time than wands, which are also very slow 3 hit weapons. Thats why I think it'd be appropriate to place it on the weapon tables rather than in a page. Tellos 13:48, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
We shouldn't really put this on the weapon template as it will be the same for every page, won't it? ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 15:56, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Between weapons of the same type it would be. Maybe we could put it on the Weapon List pages or make a seperate page for it. Tellos 16:02, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, there currently isn't any way to diffrenciate between different weapon types. Another page would be good ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 17:07, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Uploading Problem

When I try to upload images to replace old versions of images I frequently get, "The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. Please check the file and upload again." I've checked the image and resaved and retried it several times as JPEG and PNG. It doesn't work for me and I have no idea what to do. I'm a narb, help Dx

Quick question for ya

I was going to revert the images on the page Butterfly Silk Wear (F) do to black and white both being used (the black on the pants obliterates the details) but do to past incidents i wanted admin permission first. Miyani 18:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

How will having admin permissions help you revert images? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 22:05, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
It was more an issue of in game vs character simulator (like even if it's policy breaking is it preferred?), plus a previous incident with the uploader. I was asking permission to avoid problems rather then to seek help with reverting them XD Miyani 22:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Couldn't you just revert your reversion? --κєνıи тαıĸ«) 22:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
I would like to know straight from an admin if it is ok to post an in game picture to replace a simulator picture even if the in game picture is against a few picture rules. I'd also like to suggest a small edit to the picture rules, seeing as most clothing has some form of white or black in it. I can understand if the part shows detail but does it really matter for those where the clothing part shows no detail?--Saix7 22:16, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
