Description

You can spot this man from a mile away with his bulging muscles, thick arms and neck, as well as his protruding chest. His clothes are a bit shaggy and his headband that is tightly holding up his hair looks to be slightly soaked in sweat. Once you get close to him, you can't help but notice his big smile that covers his face, and his mustache that twitches each time he speaks.

This traveling merchant appears in most areas of the Uladh Continent. It is difficult to find him because his position is constantly changing. He sells useful and also somewhat odd items. He raised four Goblins from a very young age: Tiro, Pero, Goro, and Muro.

Past

Despite his gentle and friendly appearance, Price was once the Paladin leader in Emain Macha known as Redire. He was powerful, courageous, and well respected as at least a match for the great Knight of Light, Lugh. Price strongly denies this, however.

Redire once raided Math dungeon with several other Paladins. He killed many fomors and discovered a lonely infant in the depths of the dungeon. He took the infant safely back to civilization. Shortly afterward, Redire met with Aranwen for a confession of his love for her, which all turned out to be a plot by Esras. During their absence, Morgant attacked Emain, killing many humans. The Paladins and Rian, the Lord of Emain and Ruairi's brother, pursued Morgant to Coill Dungeon where Redire arrived just in time to assist.

Morgant revealed that the infant Redire took was his own daughter, Triona. Morgant had attacked Emain in search of his daughter. Redire was traumatized by his fatal error, but fought Morgant to defend his Lord. Morgant struck Redire's blade from his hands and pierced Rian's leg, injuring him greatly. Redire was then struck down by Morgant's blade. Esras recovered the infant for Morgant who took her and left.

Redire, injured from his wounds, was arrested and held responsible for the attack and for injuring Rian. He was to be executed, but his subordinates freed him and told him to escape. Redire fled Emain and became the wandering merchant known as Price.

In G2, Price assists the player more than any other in becoming a Paladin by leading the player toward the right path to becoming a Knight of Light in an exchange for helping him defeat Esras.

Trivia: When you see the truth of what happened to Redire, he will start treating you as a "friend", rather than a "stranger." He will never forget you and your actions toward him. It says this when you talk to him:
His clothes and face are definitely Price, but something is different about him. With anger and remorse written all over his face, he almost looks like a different person. It's his eyes that have completely changed his persona. Though everything else about him looks gloomy, his eyes are brightly shining like a blazing flame.
Also, at this point, when you end your conversation with him, you say "Goodbye, Redire" instead of "Goodbye, Price"

In the last battle of the 2nd Generation, Price learns that Esras created the Ancient Golem, Tabhartas, to take over Erinn. Tabhartas injures Price's leg, making him unable to move. As soon as Tabhartas was going to squash Price, the player saved him from peril. He asks the player to save him/herself because you don't have to sacrifice yourself, but you ignore him. Tabhartas was too weak to squash you because Price and Esras learn that you were the "True Paladin", and transformed right before their eyes as well as crushing the Golem.
After Tabhartas's defeat, Price learns that Esras cruelty used the lord to reanimate Tabhartas. Esras then tells him that the Lord was ALREADY DEAD because when he got arrested, Rian was fatally wounded from the accident and died later (no one knew about the incident except Esras). Esras finally wants to destroy you both herself since you delayed her plans for too long.

In the end, Price becomes the 5th Tuatha de Danaan to see the Goddess and joins you to fight against Cichol.

After G2, Price asks you on a mission to harmonize your Paladin Powers to learn and utilize your Passive Defenses.

You will see him again in G3 where he saves you from Cichol's Dark Magic and Ruairi's Dark Blade. You then ask him to help you find a meaning of a special word Cichol said.

Signs and Gloves

Price sells numbered signs which range from 2 to 10 and are often useful as Spirit Weapon Food. However, at any one time he only has 3 different numbered signs in the 'Interesting Items' tab of his shop. The number on the signs he sells change at midnight once every Real-Time Day, unlike equipment and weapons sold in other NPC shops which change color at midnight every In-Game Day. See the 'Shop' section below for which signs are available on a particular day.

He also sells Paper, Rock and Scissors Gloves which, as with the signs above, can be useful as Spirit Weapon Food. These are available each day in Price's shop however only one type of glove is present at any given time in the shop's 'Interesting Items' tab. The gloves alternate one after the other, with the change occuring when Price moves to a another location. The length of time one type of glove remains present in his shop will at least be as long as Price remains at one location.
