In zone 2 I have encountered an ore room with predeployed mobs. It is not clear to me whether this rare oddity was intentional or whether it indicates a bug in the code. The mobs spawned were those normally encountered in a zone 2 predeployed room.
In zone 3 I have encountered an empty room with an open exit. In other dungeons, I have encountered this room type occasionally but only ever in a zone in which it is possible to encounter a fountain, and only on a run in which a fountain was not encountered. This led me to suspect that when a fountain can occur in a zone, a room is first allocated for it and then a random throw determines whether the fountain is placed in the room or whether it remains empty. However, I have never encountered a fountain in Barri Basic, and this wiki's page for Barri Basic no one has noted encountering a fountain. Thus at this stage this room remains a mystery.
