2 hours?

How do you know it's two hours? I'm getting 503 errors all over nexon's Mabinogi pages

Right before their website went down, they updated it to say two hours.

I don't know where someone got "undefined amount of time" though. That wasn't on the update to the maint announcement.

They didn't announce it when I looked, so I placed that there.

[Update] The maintenance has been extended by 2 hours. Thank you for your support.

Mikaya put "undefined" because they didn't announce the extension right away.

Seems like a bad idea to play undefined when they were only about ~15 minutes late, but I understand. Either way thanks for that quote, probably should've added it to my summary.

Its just a precaution in case they delay it much later. Sometimes they don't say it at all.

True, but people think that when it's on the wiki it's because Nexon announced it - when many times that's not true. For example, people looked at the wiki and thought it was extended by another three hours, instead of two. Those people might go afk until 3 PM PST because they think the game isn't going to come up until then - when in reality, the game came up at around 2:10 PST or so. Saying it was extended by 3 hours is not only erroneous but also misleading.

The wiki is updated by the players, not the devs, and does not have a 100% accuracy guarantee. Wiki editors rarely know anything that the rest of the playbase does not know; our job is mainly compiling the information available into an easily digested format. If you're worried about the wiki being inaccurate, find the actual information and improve it yourself.

Well, that's my point. It's a compilation of information available. In this case, saying that maintenance has been extended by X hours is not information, it's speculation. Nexon may be a couple of minutes late, they may be half an hour late, they may be hours late. But it's completely inaccurate to simply announce something that has not been announce (i.e. that maintenance has been indefinitely extended, which would cause players to think something seriously went wrong) or even worse, to pull a figure out of thin air (as was the 3 hour figure - Nexon never announced that it was being extended by 3 hours, they were just 15 minutes past the two hour extension mark.)

I'm not worried about the wiki being inaccurate, I'm more worried about speculation and false information being added to it.

15 mins = undetermined until announcement. They announced it late and I have yet to caught it. "Usually" they announce it 10~20 minutes prior to ending.

Either way, it's not information that has any source, it's speculation. I don't think speculation should be on the wiki.

Perhaps it would be better to say something like: "Maintenance is delayed/has not ended, Nexon has made no announcement yet."
