oh that's tragic, I thought you just couldn't buy them or get them from part time jobs anymore I didn't realize that they are going to also remove the ability to compose them...
Never mind. I spoke with Sol, she says only NPC-obtained ones are gone. Not composed ones. So this is still relevant. How did you get this data? Testing?
I got chance to compose data from skil_leveldetail.xml I figured since
- var 1-3 where already used for melody/chord1/chord2
- var4 only has values greater then 0 until r9 (requirement for magic music)
- the fact that from personal experience i have noticed an increase in the amount of magic music scrolls since i ranked composing/musical knowledge from r9
All that combined lead me to the conclusion that var4 likely maps to chance of composing a magic scroll.
As for the chance of which type of scroll table I obtained that from bardsong.xml.
Unfortunately I don't know which skill(composing/music knowledge) that the tables refer too I might perform a test later when i have the time/gold to rank up those skills on a mule character.
