Legendary?

Legendary?

I'm not sure this should be classified as a "Legendary" weapon. It has no special effects, no backstory, and it's even smithable. It's not even fomorian; human blacksmiths can repair it. I think we should just call it a rare weapon that happens to be purchasable from the imp shop.

  1. There are three other Legendary weapons without special effects.
  2. Not all legendary weapons have back-story.
  3. How do you know it's not Fomorian?
  4. It's repairable with gold because it can be smithed as well.

Point is, the definition of a legendary weapon is a non-Fomor weapon that is sold in the limited time tab of the Commerce Imp's store.

On the #3 part, it's not a Fomorian weapon--despite of it being sold in the Trade Commerce Imp's shop. Why? Because it can be specially upgraded and it can be repaired at Blacksmiths, instead of the regular method with the Commerce Imp/Ogre/Goblin.

You just repeated exactly what I said, that doesn't mean it's not a Legendary weapon.

I don't think it's meant to be a Legendary Weapon. If any, the Champion one should be.

Dejosa23:36, 6 June 2012

Champion being legendary is an opinion, it has higher max damage and lower minimum damage, that can be viewed as weaker or stronger. The point is, this isn't something for interpretation, it's a fact.

I think discussion about an item being Legendary or not is pointless as debating over what flavour of ice cream to get.

Dejosa00:43, 7 June 2012

Legendary weapons are randomly purchasable. Mace of Mercy, White Wing Staff, and Bracer Knuckle are not legendary.

The legendary weapons are Elsinor, Caladbolg, Masterpiece Bow, Tyrfing, Venom Sword, Tethra, and Brionac.

White Wing Staff is Legendary, though it is questionable considering the only mention was a "white-winged" god was an inspiration. Mace of mercy is...well...more rather ancient considering Slates are enchanted stone entities, so let's throw that in the pile.

...now as for the Bracer Knuckle, It's not legendary if NPCs like Mina and Keane have them...then again...look at Price and his random Caladbolg...He probably obtained one in his travels while going into varies places of Uladh. My personal opinion on this matter that it is not legendary, though the fact that Gold is used to repair it makes it even more less legendary considering normal blacksmiths and weapon shops can repair it just fine, in where fomorian weapons require the special care of Fomors to repair. I'm sure they could easily repair human made weapons though...

Legendary Weapon=Non-Fomor Weapon Bought from Limited Time Tab
And just for a moment if we forget that for hypothetical reasons, there is still no harm on having it on the page. What is the real point of this discussion?

Pyro - (Talk)01:58, 7 June 2012

Exactly, what's the point? This is like debating over what flavour of ice cream is the best.

Dejosa02:00, 7 June 2012

Ehh that's like saying it's not a thousand years old, but 997 years old...

aside that, the point would be to fix the category of the knuckle, should it be deemed legendary or not...well it looks like it's gonna stay legendary since majority of the community finds it okay to be here.

S•A•R•I•A02:08, 7 June 2012

Just because it's in the limited tab doesn't mean anything :l

I don't mind that it's on the page. I'm just saying that it might not be legendary if NPCs have it (I'm not counting the Caladbolg)...though it could have been smithed...or maybe stolen from somewhere...like the Falias Treasures. If anything it's more rather "limited" than legendary.

S•A•R•I•A02:02, 7 June 2012

If there has to be a discussion on whether or not it is "legendary" then the definition of Legendary is too arbitrary and should not be used at all for this item.
