Adding "may not function for some" under the gloves and boots after stating the whole event may not function properly for some players in general gives the implication that the hat + body will work for everyone, which is currently not true. We should be consistent and clear with what is certain in the absence of the odd observed specifics of the event if we are not mentioning those. (i.e. the character must wear the exact pieces of the set from the box the same character opened or whatever nonsense we have going on)
Seeing as how there are a lot of people claiming different things, I'd just put what it should do (either hat+wear, or gloves+boots) and that there are currently issues with the event,
So far, I found that gloves and boots may or may not add AP. I went from 285 to 286 with just boots/gloves on. That is why I put "may not function for some" since some people have gotten ap through gloves/boots. I'm looking into headgear/Uniform right now.
it's just a difficult scenario, but at least this way people will flood nexon tickets instead of saying the wiki sucks right? =D
It's pretty cut and clear.
The uniform AP bonus is applied to the character ID that opened the bag. That bonus will only work if the correct player is wearing it.
So, if you bought the outfit from a player shop, the outfit is not going to work. If you bought it from the Cash Shop, it'll work for the character that bought it.
It may be pretty cut and clear to someone who has access to that kind information, or who has checked all scenarios, but that is neither announced nor is it clearly implied. Thus, we cannot (and should not) say with any certainty whether that is indeed the intended function or not.
That and the fact that I've read some scenarios where the AP bonus is applied even without having the both items bought using nx.
Not a single person has posted proof that they bought it from another player and it worked for them. Not a single one.
Which you can say about pretty much everything in this event.
There's no proof that this isn't just some odd glitch :u
And you don't have proof that buying the outfit using nx and buying eyepatch from another player doesn't give bonus. Which is what some person experienced.
No point getting worked up about this really.
Oh. Sorry I was reading like the 40+ accounts of that being consistent on mabi forums, but go ahead and test it yourself.
I did and it's real fucking simple.
If you bought the outfit from the cash shop, it works for that SPECIFIC character. The effect of the outfit is applied to that specific character ID and nobody else.
Imbored, please keep your language clean. Wingedcow, the attitude in your post is a little unnecessary. Please try to be remain respectful even if you don't agree or think someone is being stupid. You should also keep in mind that all Nexon told us is that we needed clothing to make the event work. They never mentioned anything about having to pay for it yourself. As Nise Panda stated, it could be a glitch.
Admittedly, I don't pay attention to the Nexon forums though. As soon as a Nexon employee confirms or denies whether this is intended or not, can someone post a link in this thread?
@Kimo Imbored is talking about the forums. Threads in certain sections get moved to another at times.
@Imbored
But still doesn't help that thread was moved to "Help" and no mods commented on it.
And may I remember you that Nexon moves any "bugs and glitches" if it's a duplicate post or something they already acknowledge? And you can't disprove that either without any word from Nexon.
I still say we don't add anything to it before Nexon says anything.
I agree. Honestly I bought a few extra bags for friends, so if this thing doesn't work it'll definitely make me mad.
If it was a known issue, Tasket would of closed it and left it in that sub-section with a [Known] beside the title. Normally, if it wasn't a bug, it would of been closed with a [Non-Issue] beside the title.
If the thread from that forum is moved, it means that the Bug Report wasn't made correctly, which I find highly unlikely as the person gave both picture and video proof...
So... I'm inclined to believe it's not a bug since they haven't bothered to mention anything about it and Thursday is almost over. So, I refuse to call this an "Event", since not everybody can participate in it unless they cough up NX.
You cannot truly know what Tasket would/would not or should/should not do or who for certain made the move. The truth is we are relatively in the dark with regard to the true nature of the event and it is not performing as we would expect given the description and announcements, hence on the side of caution we just avoid claiming details as facts and hope we get something more official from a nexon representative.
Just posting this here.
