Reverting of images

Reverting of images

It's painfully obvious Seecret posts pictures of herself in a lot of pages out of vanity.

And I wouldn't mind if her arguments for posting said pictures weren't so weak.

I agreed with everyone when Barding tried to post pictures of my staff and that it shouldn't be on there.

But seriously, stop replacing images that have flaws with pictures that have the same flaws.

The current images are not only fine, but they're perfect. The quality and zoom are superior and you can clearly distinguish all the parts of the staff. Please do not revert them, Seecret.

You do realize I don't do it for vanity but to help out the wiki, right?

Seecret12:33, 5 March 2012

But most of the pictures that were already there were fine, if not better. I'm not talking about JUST the staff but also other pictures. I haven't been the only one to notice this, apparently. And you keep reverting the images back yourself every time someone posts a better picture. I'm sorry if it sounds mean, but I'm not the only one who thinks this. It's ridiculous how many people think this, and yet aren't allowed to say anything because it could be considered harrasement. I mean, I'm presenting a valid problem, just because it singles out one person doesn't mean it should be disregarded.

I know I haven't contributed much to the wiki, but it's been bugging me for a while.

Um, I am truly sorry but I look at anything that could be improved. If you have a problem with the images I take then at least tell me what and why? I really don't do it for vanity, but to help the wiki in any possible way I can. Just stopping now would hurt me in the most horrible way since I love helping the wiki, and I have gotten so far with it.

Johnkilla, I'm pretty sure this is the wrong talk page to post this on.

Seecret, Johnkilla's at least right in saying there were a lot of replacements made that are still candidates for replacement. I do think that's been covered multiple times before, though, so I'll just leave it at that.

Akira12:55, 5 March 2012

I know in the past I have done a lot of bad images that can still be replaced as of today, but that was honestly when I was still learning about how to post really good images of things. I think I have gotten better these past few months, but I still need improvement with a little bit of things. I was actually going through my old images last night to see if any needed re-replacements and I did a couple.

I promise this'll be the last thing I'll say.

Seecret, I'm just saying if people worked hard to provide the best work possible, it doesn't seem right to berate their work without proper reason.

Every time, and I really do mean, every time you revert someone's image, it just seems like a thinly veiled atempt at vanity. A lot of times there's literally NO improvement between eiher image, so in that sense the one that was posted first should be the one to stay up. I'm not attacking you, and it's not personal, it's a valid issue that needs to be presented. And I'm sorry if it already has.

And I'm not saying you should stop. By all means, keep doing your thing. Just don't use inferior or images of equal quality. It was my staff to begin with, so I just wanted to post my opinion on the matter, and yes, I agree with you that my staff shouldn't be posted, but Barding made some valid points as well. If it's been addressed already, it's fine, I'll leave it alone.

And Akira, I do believe you're right. Can you re-direct me to somewhere that things like this are discussed?

Johnkilla13:07, 5 March 2012

Er...if this was meant as advice to Seecret, this should be on her talk page.

If this was meant as a report, then the best place I can think of is an admin's talk page, though I'm not entirely sure this is appropriate for that.

Or, if this was meant as improving work ethics, this would probably go in the Policy's talk page.

Thank you, this helps a lot.
