Is that just flavourful reference to the anime and or the description the item has in game? Or is there actually a hidden effect when you have both items???

The in game item description says that. I do not know if it has any hidden effects, but am also curious.

also, anyone know what size of shield it is? (IE small, medium, large) I'm guessing medium like the Shield of Avon, but unsure

I'm wondering too because it functions like a Shield of Avon but it mentions 'this huge shield' in the description.

Based on the upgrades, it is essentially a re-skinned Avon, but without the charge enhancement. Which means it is 90% likely to be a medium shield. But, I would really like someone to verify this, perhaps with testing as a giant......

It's like flavor text in card games...it's just there as a node or w/e.
