...Why are there 2 Pictures of the Incubus? o.x

The second one is after you've countered it many times. It drops the horns only in the second form. ---Angevon

Triggering the second form

Critical counter tested to set off the winged power boost upon the first success every time, while not having much luck with other forms of continuous knockback/criticals. Without thorough testing (critical smashes tend to cut down HP a little too fast in comparison), it can't be said that the former debunks and excludes the latter; how should the existing information be edited? --2140 01:52, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Testing, testing, more testing: Critical smashes do not set off wings; critical counters set off wings [upon first successful critical] every time. Going ahead on editing. --2140 20:30, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
I thought normal counters could do it. Does it have to be critical? ---Angevon 20:33, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
That's what I was trying to address in the first note I left here, but I haven't been able to reproduce that. I've run numerous Incubus on two different weapon sets-- 41% crit and 99% crit, enemy prot unknown. On 41%, the Incubus would take normal counter after normal counter with no effect, until I either land the rare critical counter and the wings/horns come about, or finish him off with nothing at all. On 99%, again, his wings stay small through normal counters, and grow with 100% success rate when the critical lands (and horns afterward, etc.), thus my findings. Granted, I could just have bad luck with normal counters, and there is no way to disprove "continuous normal counters will work eventually," if you know what I mean... (one could claim normal smashes would eventually get the masks off of Siren in the same manner!) but no, I have not been able to reproduce this. If anyone has solid proof of it, then please do correct the information for the sake of accuracy; I've only edited it for that very reason. --2140 01:51, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Cloths

Does anybody know the accurate name for the cloths he wears are? I think its either Admiral Suit or Captain Suit, however im not sure. Can anyone tell me? -- Ember Incubus

Well I don't know what he wears, but from that image it is definitely neither Admiral or Pirate Captain. I don't think his clothes are an actual item players can obtain. --ShadowclanxAnarchist 03:05, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Angry Incubus

Should we make one template for Normal Incubus and one for Angry Incubus? Hmmm? -- Ember Incubus

Only Incubus

Is this the only type of incubus that will ever exist? -- Ember Incubus

There is also Elatha but he's an NPC. ---Angevon 22:42, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I know, I ment other types of monster Incubi. -- Ember Incubus
akaik, none. ---Angevon 22:56, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Willingly?

Incubus can drop his horns willingly?

Can someone comfirm that please. I'm also starting to wonder about the 'rumor' about the succubus dropping her clothes just by talking to her. (Please know this is not iwarhero posting this, this is a friend posting this but note iwarhero anyway, Mari server) Hero-kun 08:15, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

I highly, highly doubt it, too. Removing until there's proof. --- Angevon (Talk) 15:02, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Their used to be a rumour posted on the page that if a female went into the dungeon and entered the room of the incu alone as required, but didnt attack, just stood without a weapon and talked to him, he would say the phrase "Anything for you, my love" and willingly drop his horns on the ground, then attempt to kill her. I tried this but he wouldn't do it. does anyone else know? (User Alicecullen, same as in-game, Alexina Server, May 31 2013)

RUMORS ARE RUMORS! THEY'RE NOTHING BUT FAKE! Infodude575 (talk) 13:51, 31 May 2013 (PDT)
If you don't have anything productive to say, don't talk at all. There is no point in yelling rumors are rumors in all caps. (S)He had a legitimate concern. -- Pyro - (Talk) - 16:07, 31 May 2013 (PDT)

I'm a male elf and...

He started to say the poem to me. After I critical countered him, his wings grew large too. Gonna see if he drops his horns though No, he didn't drop the horns. This is black incubus (dugald) btw ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 03:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Marionettes and Incubi

I killed him in his second form with an Act 2 and got nothing. I have edited to reflect that.

Buggyman (talk)11:42, 23 November 2014

Just to be sure, you were playing as a female character right?

Infodude575 (talk)11:44, 23 November 2014

Yes, I was.

Buggyman (talk)11:46, 23 November 2014

Huh... I think it's because the game treats the marionette as a separate character from the player, or something like that.

On a side note I think Summon Golem should also be tested.

Infodude575 (talk)11:50, 23 November 2014

It doesn't always drop even if you don't use puppets and such.

Meru (talk)14:12, 23 November 2014

Shouldn't the line at least mention "has a chance"?

Need to Fix something.

I feel needs to be tweaked under his notes and advice. The specific part states;

Kill him after that to receive the Incubus Horn. (They will drop by your feet.)

The specific part I feel could use streamlining is the fact that the link points to a disambiguation page for Incubus Horns, which have both the Thick Horns and Elatha's Horns. This could cause some confusion about which horns he actually drops. I was going to instead change it to state specifically that he drops the Thick Horn and link to the proper page directly. Unfortunately I don't know how to edit the data in a monster table.

Whitnney (talk)06:39, 6 March 2013

Thank you for bringing this to attention, I clarified that it gives you Thick Horns with the Incubus enchant.

Pyro - (Talk)16:17, 6 March 2013

Also, you can edit a monster's data page by clicking the edit button next to the header with their name on it.

Combat Power

I've been working on taming the animals for Conquerer of Nature, and the incubus I have tried to tame, over 5 trips, has always been boss level to me, I have over 1450 cp, which means the incubus I'm fighting has to have at least 4400, I'm wearing no -cp enchants and play a male character. I've seen this on every incubus and am having a very difficult time taming it due to this. (R2, tikka cane, taitinn bait) The real wonder is that the cp the incubus I'm fighting, is at least over twice that of the incubus's combat power shown here on the wiki.

Marith19:11, 25 July 2011

Incubus has 5k CP now.

Aubog00722:37, 25 July 2011

It seems that the incubus has different CP levels for different genders. As a female the incubus is normal level to me, and my CP is around 1550 right now. So for me, he should have no more than around 2170 CP.--Meru 07:15, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Meru00:15, 26 July 2011

put CP in a matter of something like vs Male(vs Female)?

Will need to test this theory though.

LexisMikaya00:18, 26 July 2011

It may also be his stats/difficulty, since we do get CP from stats.

Pyro - (Talk)00:20, 26 July 2011

The issue for me about all this is that it's next to impossible for a male player to tame him since he has 1,000 more cp than the demi lich. I guess I just have to suck it up and buckle down to get r1 taming to finish even my non-peaca boss tames.
