Talk:Dye Palettes
Should this go under Category:Game System? --Aramet (Talk) 02:09, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Regarding Armor & Hilt Palettes
On swords such as the Bastard Sword and Broadsword, the guard uses the hilt palette and the hilt uses the armor palette. However, on swords like the Short Sword and Fluted Short Sword, where the guard and hilt are not individual and therefore share the same color, the hilt palette is used. Should this be noted on under those two palettes? --Aramet (Talk) 04:09, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- A good idea should anyone have questions. Would there be a more generic way to phrase something like this? Ie, "For swords where the guard and hilt are not individual pieces, but share the same color, the hilt palette is used." And then a listed of some examples could follow.--Demaetri 07:55, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Armor Dye Palette
Says on page "True white and black do NOT exist on this palette." That's not true. I've turned a number of armors and helmets pure black. You can turn Valencia pure white, too. --Simpet 07:55, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- True = 000000 / FFFFFF. You cannot get those. Only close to it. The closest black I've gotten was 191919. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 08:02, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hey look, it even says right there. 20/20/20 RGB is the darkest you can get. I never noticed that. lol. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 08:02, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Says on page "True white and black do NOT exist on this palette." This is a false statement. True white and black DO appear on this palette, but it is very hard to make out, and these colors only appear as single pixels. The texture of the item you are dying may affect the resulting color, causing it to become slightly brighter or darker, or making it appear silver instead of white. It is recommended that you use a fixed metal dye instead of aiming for the single pixels or white or black. —Preceding unsigned comment added by XMagnus (talk • contribs) .
