Charge Rate

Other staves have their elemental charge rates listed.

As Demonic equipment are the designated end-game gear of the game, it would be pretty useful if the end-game mage weapon had its charge rates listed for comparison.

Are you referring to these tables?

I find them redundant because the "Other Information" section already lists the rates. Though, it doesn't list charge durations. Which, by the way, do they vary by staff?

Yes, they vary. Some, like the Trinity staff take a bunch of charges to charge up, but others (I believe White Wing is an example) have lowered requirements while yet others do not have charging.

Kave Johnson (talk)19:33, 7 September 2013

I believe you misunderstood which part I was talking about that varies. I know that charge rates vary (they're all listed under the staff), but I was talking about the durations.

...Durations vary? That doesn't sound right. I have an Andris I bought for 100K. I can run some tests.

Durations don't vary on staff o-o

The endgame staff right now would be a hermit staff crafted at +8 magic dmg and fully upgraded. Infinity staff only beats hermit for bolts, and most people don't even use bolts right now.

Doesn't charging the staff with an elemental also apply to intermediate and advanced magic? Or does that only apply to bolts?

The category page says bolts only, and IIRC i asked on a talk page somewhere and got that same answer.

I don't know how the data template stuff works very well so I'll list the stats here.

  • Very Slow 3 Hit Weapon
  • Attack 13-25
  • Injury Rate 0-0%
  • Critical 22%
  • Balance 42%
  • Durability 14/14

Talent Requirement: Master Mage or higher

It's 1x4 in the inventory. I'll post up upgrades when I get around to doing proficiency training.

Also, here's what it looks like in the inventory. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4234581/demonic-staff-in-inventory.png

It does not have the enhanced charge effect that the White Wing Staff and the Andris Wing Staff have and takes 3 bolts to go up one charge level for ice and lightning, and 2 bolts to go up one charge level for fire.

Blargel (talk)19:11, 21 January 2013

That's like Trinity.

Infodude575 (talk)19:12, 21 January 2013

Indeed. That was pretty much implied.

Blargel (talk)19:13, 21 January 2013

Repair costs:

  • 97%: 11759 (oh crap lol)
  • 95%: 8819
  • 93%: 5879
  • 92%: 4409

Upgrade sequence seems to be exactly the same as the Trinity Staff except with an extra upgrade for 0~0 called Break Infinity Staff Seal, costing a ridiculous 95 Proficiency and 100,000 gold and giving a +8% magic damage boost. Berched has an extra ??? that I'm not sure about yet so I'll be checking up on that in the future.

I think its safe to say that the Demonic Infinity is just a beefed-up Trinity.

I just wanna know how the hell you got one?

Infodude575 (talk)20:52, 21 January 2013

I bought a ton of materials with gold. A trusted production friend had a success level 16 reforged handicraft kit so he made it for me.

Blargel (talk)21:06, 21 January 2013

All normal upgrades are the same except for the extra seal breaking upgrade as mentioned above. The artisan upgrade appears to follow the Trinity Staff's possibilities as well. For gem upgrades, however, you get a choice of +2 durability or +3 durability, which means that overall, the Demonic Infinity Staff is better by the Trinity Staff by only 3% magic damage. Hooray for a ~18mil staff that's not much better than normal staffs.
