Ap usage
Is this the new "highest ap skill"? ~kotarou3 (talk) 08:48, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Stamina and Mana Use
It's sort of weird that it says +6 stamina in stamina use. Is this on purpose, or? --Miyuna 12:16, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, that's a mistake. Sorry. --Jay 21:45, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
The Abilities and Damage
This looks like a long range version of Blaze. So, does it function like blaze, in a sense it does high damage when used with a knock down and the longer you hold the skill the more powerful it gets? How strong is it in comparison to Magnum Shot? Is it based on a percentile or does it have its set damage rate per rank. Also, does this skill ignore protection when dealing with critical chance? --Miyuna 06:11, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
It's not like a blaze... You stil need to aim your shot. If magmum shot is for attacking single or few enemy with powerful blow, crash shot hit multiple enemy with decent damage. If there is only one enemy, you do less damage than normal attack but if there is many monster, you do damage equal or higher than the magnum if they are at same rank. Because it just came out today, i dont know about the rest of your question... sorry... --User:Fallenone 30 April 2010
1. Crash shot strikes the targeted foe dealing 100% damage.
2. The target flies backwards and one second later it explodes damaging all enemies in range. The location of the monster when the shot explodes determines the splash zone.
3. Splash damage is calculated by adding the rank modifier and the bonus multiplier. I'm not exactly certain how much is added per enemy. I've been informed that it's around +5% to +10% per enemy. More research is needed.
Example: (150-250%)+(# of enemies * bonus multiplier).
Also, crash shot's mobility is similar to Magnum Shot. ---Kaeporo 05:17, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- looks like a Blaze for Ranged Attacks to me :| without the charge and knockback thing of course. *oh crap, as if Arrow Revolver and Final Shot weren't enough _>_--Marthian 05:45, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to me that Crash is more comparable to a ranged version of Windmill. Aside from going through extra steps as like blaze, it deals damage more similarly to Windmill (250% per monster in a splash radius around a point) and both ignore monster protection for critical hits. The key difference is that Crash has a larger radius but can only hit a limited number of foes. --ChibiMoogle 09:03, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

- Huh. Guess it can be somewhat useful... The skill itself and it's randomness was absolutely horrible in actual use...--Aubog007 06:01, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Fragmentated Projectiles discussion
- While outdated, this source seems to suggest that the maximum number of enemies that can receive splash damage is rank dependent. This value increases from three targets at rF to a maximum of six targets at r1. Can anyone confirm/deny so I can update the skill chart?
- The amount of damage added for each additional enemy is still unknown. I'll continue to investigate. Any outside efforts are appreciated.---Kaeporo 19:20, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- I can try to help, but I lag heavily and it makes any form of ranged extremely hard to use and large mobs hard to come by. The var list for Crash Shot in SkillLevelDetail.xml should have the data, but I can't access it myself. I can tell which vars effect what in every skill except Magic Missile, which has too many vars for me to check. If someone can get the var sheet I can probably pull the max allowed targets and damage formula out of it. Tellos 19:31, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- The variables for different skills changes according to the skill.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 19:32, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- I'm aware. These are the vars from r1 connous natural shield (they are identical to the other ranged/magic pds for pally and elf.) Var1="20" Var2="40" Var3="30" Var4="30" Var 1 is Damage Reduction%, var 2 is Stun reduction%, Var3 is Knockdown Gauge reduction%, and var4 is Additional activation on transform. These are the vars for r1 final hit Var1="40" Var2="240" Var3="1600" Var 1 is Duration in seconds, var 2 is cooldown in seconds, var 3 is Maximum allowed ranged of effect. You can figure out what the vars go to with a variety of means, so I just need the var list from Skill_LevelDetail.xml for crash shot, and I can find out where it plugs into the functional client. Update: The skill consists of two waves of damage. Target damage and splash damage. Target damage is equal to fragmentation damage plus base damage. Target damage only affects a single enemy. Splash damage follows the target damage and affects all enemies within range up to the maximum of 3-6 enemies (rank dependent). Splash damage and fragmentation damage are only applied if the splash damage would damage more than one enemy.
Target damage = 100% + 150%(targets splashed)
Ideal conditions would result in 1250% damage dealt to the target after combining target and splash damage. The other five enemies would receive normal splash damage.
An enemy: 100%
2 enemies: 400%
3 enemies: 550%
4 enemies: 700%
5 enemies: 850%
6 enemies: 1000%
Keep in mind, this is based off of pre-patch .pack files and inputs from various other players. It's likely that the fragmentation multiplier is identical to minimum splash damage and increases with rank. Thoughts?---Kaeporo 09:48, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- If I'm understanding this correctly then this means that the targeted monster will receive splash damage * targets hit upon successfull splash? That would match with the results I got from using it on KR. Tellos 16:39, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm fairly certain that the target receives (minimum splash damage * targets splashed) + 100%---Kaeporo 09:00, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
skill cp?
so this skill has no skill cp? either this skill is so epic that it has no cp or its something else lol. Buffedlink
- I don't really think so. I bet there is skill cp for it though, we just don't know it yet. Also, even if the last statement wasn't true, the stats you get from it WILL increase your CP (by a barely noticable little bit)--Marthian 05:48, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Effects
I went ahead and added the effects for the skills based on what it says in game. However, I'm only r9 at the moment so I guessed at the higher ranks. If they are different when I get to it, I will fix it if it hasn't been fixed already. --ChibiMoogle 02:51, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Training methods
I'm currently r6 and I've noticed that merely attacking 4 or more enemies counts towards the "Defeat 4 or more enemies with fragments" requirement. Perhaps the requirement is listed wrong in game? I've also noticed that the explosion portion of the attack counts towards this as well. Say for example you attack one of a group of 4 monsters, the explosion will trigger and the splash will hit the other 3. Even if you do not kill any of them this will count towards the "Defeat 4 or more enemies with fragments" requirement. At least, it has been counting for me this rank. Is anyone out there willing to do some more research on this matter? --ChibiMoogle 05:57, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently, for all ranks, the method is listed incorrectly. It should, as you have stated, be "Attack 4 or more enemies with fragments", not defeat. I'm at rank 4 and it counts as long as 4 are hit. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 22:23, 22 November 2010 (PST)
- I've also noticed that even if you kill the your target in my group of 4 example, so long as you splash the other three it will count. --ChibiMoogle 06:44, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

"Crash Shot is one of two ranged skills that was based on another skillset, the other being Arrow Revolver. " What does this mean? So much confusion. Please consider revise or remove this sentence...
—Crash Shot Description |
I still don't see how it relates. The statement in question says that Crash Shot and Arrow Revolver are based on other skill sets. I can understand Ice Mines being "based" on Ice Spear, but I don't which skill Crash Shot bears such relation to.
It means that crash shot explodes when it hits an enemy, striking those near it, like how ice mines explodes upon contact with an enemy.
Ice Mine is also technically a skill.
I believe it means to say that Crash Shot has ideas borrowed from alchemy because of how it behaves like an ice mine while Arrow Revolver has ideas borrowed from magic because of how it behaves like Icebolt. Therefore, both of those skills are based off of separate non-archery skillsets.
I used crash shot in a group with poison effect on my bow and it seems like the poison "spreads" with the fragments, poisoning some of the group that was hit. I'm not 100% sure because I tried it once during G12 semi and I wasn't paying much attention to the other group. Can anymore confirm? --Saratoga 23:02, 22 November 2010 (PST)
