Pursuit doesn't seem to spawn bandits so...

At least from what I've observed for most of my commerce career, bandit pursuit does allow you to see ambush spots on the map and reverse ambush them, but it doesn't seem to spawn those spots to begin with. As a result, it's possible (more like common) to take up pursuit and travel the entire continent by pet/moon gate and find very few spots if any at all (along with expired spots that vanish upon approach).

At least in terms of my own observations, for a satisfying pursuit goal, you should:

  • As mentioned on the wiki post, initiate pursuit and accompany a weaker merchant spawning lesser bandits (if you can't handle veteran/master ones)
  • Complete a long-medium distance commerce run yourself, then initiate pursuit and re-track your commerce route, hitting all the bandit ambushes you didn't trigger under commerce.

this is already known, the easiest way is to get someone to commerce with few items and just walk around while the hunter does the hunting, as it will keep bandit spots spawning. The hunter has to trigger the spawn for higher lvl bandits, the person doing the commerce part just needs to buy a few cheap items, high rated items are not needed.

oh and by experience the best spot to do this is Tailltean, the road leading to Tir chonaill

Was mentioned on the post, yes, but I felt there was a lack of emphasis on the "doesn't spawn ambush spots" and at least back when I used to socialize with players in-game they had this issue alongside others without ever realizing that part.

On a separate note to that, was there ever any statistical chance determined for minion encounter vs outlaw encounter for invading outlaw homesteads? Granted it's hard to calculate the total number of attempts to encounter one given that anyone on the server can pursue the bandit and the number of failed attempts/minion encounters would be significantly higher than one person would be able to note but I'm curious if anyone here or overseas figured something out.
