There was a reason that the Rook and Bishop was colored they way they are. I can't exactly remember what it was, but it was something beyond my comprehension. I think it had to do with one of the endgame setups...? I dunno.

I think its referencing to the black and white pieces in a chess game. I don't get why Pawn is colored brown though.

Well that's already obvious. I'm talking about the meaning behind it. It'll probably be lost in obscurity anyway :s...
