Displacement lag and thunder casting

If I wanted to use this sword am I going to constantly be hit by displacement lag?

Legiathan (talk)09:58, 10 January 2015

If you're talking about the lightning part, it is not using the actual "Thunder" skill. It is its own skill.

Regardless, as far as I'm aware, the displacement lag for the Thunder skill only occurs while rafting, does it not?

IDSd (talk)18:05, 10 January 2015

It only occurs if your position changes between when it starts raining lightning strikes down and when it finishes, or in other words, during the skill animation phase. The raft just happens to help that happen.

If you do not change where you are relative to the sides of the river during that time, you wont get displaced.

Lightning Attack?

How much damage would that do?

Infodude57518:12, 12 November 2011

I'd say a portion of your magic attack stat since lighting mastery affects it :x

LexisMikaya18:53, 12 November 2011

It's very weak with low or no lightning mastery.

Pyro - (Talk)19:26, 12 November 2011

Define weak.

Infodude57519:42, 12 November 2011

Around 12 damage, I believe.

Pyro - (Talk)20:14, 12 November 2011

What about with Rank 1 Lightning M?

Infodude57520:25, 12 November 2011

I am not sure, but this video shows the damages of 21 and 34. However, we do not know her ranks. She does say, however, that Thunder rank does affect it's damage. Don't be too sure though.

Pyro - (Talk)20:27, 12 November 2011

... Wow, that's just disappointing.

30 million Ducats for a sword with frail Lightning damage...

Infodude57520:40, 12 November 2011

It still has good stats and may be very powerful with good ranks. Especially for those mage-warrior hybrids out there. And remember, you can still dual wield two of them at once.

Pyro - (Talk)21:01, 12 November 2011

Dual Wield = 60 Million Ducats.

I think the Tethra or the Tyrfing may be better than this...

Infodude57521:20, 12 November 2011

Dual Wielding>Two-Handed-Weapon in most situations.

Pyro - (Talk)00:16, 13 November 2011

Most is the keyword here.

But I don't think its right to get 60m Ds when I can Dual Venom Swords that only cost 12m Ds. Sure it's weak, but it has Poisoning.

Infodude57501:13, 13 November 2011

And MOST mobs get poisoned. It doesn't mean all of them get poisoned.

With my r1 lightning mastery and thunder, the lightning attack does 500-1000 damage to the hit enemy and 3 others near it.

I'm guessing it's just an instant single charge thunder on the enemy it activates on.

Slayorg10:46, 9 January 2012

Which isn't affected by lightning bolt to the best of my knowledge. Cause it's simply a single charge of plain thunder. Also the thunder is delayed. Around a second after you hit the enemy it strikes. Leads to amusing situations.

Aubog00711:19, 11 January 2012

Price and that damage...=_=

Deletion14:51, 12 January 2012

I'm still curious about the damage. Is it equivalent to the player's Thunder Rank, multiplied by Lightning Mastery?

Also, what would the damage be if you don't have Thunder?

Infodude57500:47, 11 July 2012

From what I've been told, it doesn't do a lot.

S•A•R•I•A04:22, 11 July 2012

Pretend you did a single charge of thunder with a plain wand. That's how it would be. Also if you have no thunder, it acts like Novice from what i recall.

Lightning attack knockback/knockdown...

Couldn't this potentially ruin chances to assault slash?

Mtjfromkck00:03, 26 December 2011

probably.

Mikaya00:08, 26 December 2011

Ah, that's a bit of a shame, but I suppose it wouldn't be too terrible if it's a pretty low chance.

Mtjfromkck00:19, 26 December 2011

A video in a previous discussion shows that the chance is rather low? but I wasn't exactly looking at it. I don't think it'll do a lot of damage, but at least it'll knock them away further (unless they bounce in place).

Mikaya00:23, 26 December 2011

Mana Deflector

Does the lightning attack activate mana deflector? If so then will the monster still be knocked back by the sword hit?

Pantakeea09:55, 8 December 2011

For you're first question, I'm not sure. For your second question, the contact with the sword will not trigger mana deflector but the afterward thunder will. (Assuming the thunder triggers mana deflector rather than heavy stander.)
