Talk:Blacksmithing List

From Mabinogi World Wiki

We might want to add a column of "method to obtain" or some sort for these guys in the future.

What part of this page isn't out in NA yet? Or is that tag out of date?

a LOT of it... --Kevin 04:24, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Now that practically everything's out (save for a thing here or there) Im gonna remove that future content tag.

Bolt/arrowheads

man... gilmore needs to start selling finest arrowheads, and fine and finest boltheads... or if you know how to get them... post information!

Name stamping?

Does anyone know what needs to be done to get a smith's name stamped on the item? Conversely, what should/shouldn't be done to avoid name stamping yet still get a decent result?

  • i've never had anything with my name on i though I'm also just started making weapons. Does it really have a chance to put your name on it? RydiaFromFF2 02:22, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
It starts at either rank 8 or rank 7 and only shows up on exceptional works. Basically its an indicator of a superior work of blacksmithing and will only appear on weapons/armor that has above average stats of some kind. The list at the bottom of the page is a reference to this.--Jacobpaige 04:38, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Ooohh I see. reminds me my Ragnarok Online days XD. Thanks for the infos. RydiaFromFF2 06:20, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Fine Anvil and Finest Anvil

I think the Blacksmithing manuals "Furnace for Fine Anvil" and "Furnace for Finest Anvil" (sold by Lorraine in Dugald Aisle Town and Elain in Sen Mag Town) are in fact manuals for Fine Anvil and Finest Anvil, respectively. At present, the Blacksmithing List has "Furnace for Fine Anvil", "Fine Anvil" and "Finest Anvil" but does not have "Furnace for Finest Anvil". --ZRoc 20:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

dustin silver knight sword

Can someone add dustin silver knight sword to the upcoming blacksmithing list? -- Sweetspot 18:24, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

what do weapon grades apply to?

Which weapons does the weapon grades table actually apply to? Apparently it doesn't apply to short swords (they have their own grade table), and it seems it does not apply to Gladius either (see Talk:Gladius).

Perhaps weapons that actually use this grade table should explicitly link to it on their pages.

quoting Sozen Cratos Focker from Talk:Gladius:

i'm pretty sure [the weapons grade] table applies to any smitted weapons. i'm guessing that the values in that table are either the average values, or just wrong because they were taken from JP wiki through Google translator(usually messes up numbers)

--RogerRoger 20:39, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I found the JP Wiki page on it (here). As far as I can tell, the values aren't wrong nor averaged. The table lists the base blacksmithing grade bonuses for weapons. You -can- get better bonuses depending on the creator's Blacksmithing rank; there's a separate table for that, but we don't have it here yet. Maybe I'll add that in later. ---Angevon 19:26, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Armor Grades

Would be nice to have tables for armors, helmets, etc. in addition to the weapon grade table at the bottom of page. Need others to fill in info though.

Heavy Armor
Grade Defense Protection Durability
Normal +0 +0 +0
F +0 +0 +?
E +0 +1 +2
D +0 +1 +3
C +0 +1 +4
B +0 +2 +?
A +1 +2 +?
Max +1 +3 +?

There are probably more grades between those listed above, I just haven't seen them yet in the game. Someone can copy this into the main page when it gets filled out. --Sil 17:10, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Needs Update

Ok this page needs an update badly, I've noticed there are several weapons such as Japanese blades that are now available for blacksmithing among other items which I will note later... ~Gaea10/28/09

Make a list of the items missing from the Blacksmithing List. --ZRoc (Talk) 15:42, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

So I'm going to make a few changes to the info and junk based on that and new findings and tesifications.

Listed Some of the Blacksmithing items that should be added to the list, Someone feel free to take the Helm from here. I would go at it myself, But I'd rather not break those fancy Tables they have going there. ^_^

Equipment Grades, Success Rates etc

Since this page already looks really big, I think we should move the equipment grade and success rate tables to either the blacksmithing skill page or to their own page. We could also consider combining the equipment grades for blacksmithing with the equipment grades table from tailoring, carpentry, and add a merchant destiny bonus and skill rank bonus table. --Tsukuyomai 03:35, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Arish Ashuvain Boots (F)

I've gotten my hands on a blacksmith manual for these, although the requirements are unstranslated. It asks for 4 iron ingots and 3 of another material that I don't know yet. Does anyone have any more info?

Vladeremis20:56, 25 January 2012

Any idea where the manual came from?

Angevon (Talk)17:37, 26 January 2012

No, sadly. I bought it in a player shop for 199 (!) Gold. I'll try asking around and see if I can find out anything. I wonder if the manuals for Arish Armor are implemented as well...
