Cailleach, also known as the Lord of Winter or the God of the Northern Winds[1], is a deity that created Glenn Bearna by layering two barriers near each other: in Sidhe Sneachta, and beyond Sliab Mis. With the aid of the Fianna Geimhridhs, she seeks firewood in order to maintain an eternal winter.
The disappearance of the Mourne Mountains's mountainkeepers is tracked back to her.
