No. For god and goddess' sake, I'm a Druid. I know myself, and I know that I don't have much time left.

—Bard Enn
|
Originally, Enn was on the path to become a druid. She changed course and begun to study as a bard under the Court Bandmaster in Tara. Her lessons helped her to write original magical music, such as the Battlefield Overture and others, in spite of initially denouncing magical music to save face with the musical community.
While in Tara she sought info on the Ancient Music Box despite being told by the Court Bandmaster that it was not to be messed with. She contacted Abcan, who she had previously helped by translating ancient records concerning the Uaithne, and obtains information from him concerning Spirits. When confronted by the Bandmaster regarding rumors of her attempts to seek the Music Box out, she left Tara and returned to her studies in the forests.
Now in the forests surrounding Abb Neagh, Enn found a mysterious set of wind chimes. The object made Enn feel like it is talking to her and comforting her, and she decides to keep it.
At some point she locates the Ancient Music Box. Enn hypothesizes that she can store the power of the Ancient Music Box inside of an object but her test to do so fails because she cannot stabilize the power. She briefly wonders if it would be possible to store and stabilize the power if she used a "gem" instead.
At the same time of her initial failed test, a mysterious entity appears after a noise resembling a mana explosion. Enn thinks that the entity is familiar, despite having never seen them before. Enn attempts to communicate with the entity, but at first it is only capable of repeating Enn's own words. After introducing itself as "Enn" in mimicry, the original Enn wonders if the entity may not be able to communicate with words. She attempts to use music, only for the entity to respond with dance. Recognizing the dance from Abcan's work, Enn realizes that the entity is a Spirit. Furthermore, she understands that the Spirit must be the voice she felt from the wind chimes she had been carrying along with her. Not thinking twice about it, she starts to communicate with the Spirit by using her own name.
Enn teaches the Spirit Enn how to communicate with language and also hides the Ancient Music Box inside of the mind of the Spirit Enn, which the Bard Enn calls Sidhe Finnachaid.
Her work attracted the attention of the wizard Jabchiel, who wanted to make use of her knowledge of the Music Box for the Second Battle of Mag Tuireadh.
With only the Spirit Enn in the forests as a companion, Enn was endlessly hunted down by Jabchiel and his Black Wizards. Eventually injured, Enn understood she could run away from Jabchiel no longer and served as bait to allow the Spirit Enn to hide. Bard Enn then forces the Spirit Enn to retreat inside of her wind chimes.
Jabchiel confronts Enn alone, cornering her into a dead end. Enn refused to operate the Music Box for Jabchiel, so in order to find where she had put it he used a Fomor spell known as Mind Rule. This allows Jabchiel to steal Enn's memories at the cost of her life. Her actions to hide the Music Box prevented Jabchiel from using it during the war, but her untimely demise and Jabchiel's corruption pushed the Spirit Enn into a deep grief.
