Shoes
Why are you removing things from Category:Shoes? The point is that all shoes show up there, but there is also the option to look at shoes in the Heavy Shoes and Light Shoes categories instead. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:31, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Categorisation is a tree, not a taxonomy. All the other wikis I've worked with have always had the rule of categorising each page as specifically as possible, not at all levels. Besides, if one wants to see all shoes, there is the Shoes List page (whose visibility has been improved by keying it to the top of the Shoes category page). Urhixidur 14:35, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
melee
Melee is actually the proper english word: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melee
The version of the word that you're using is actually the french word. As this is an english-language based wiki, please maintain english usages. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 22:26, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- The original French spelling is also an accepted English spelling. See for instance the Tormont Webster's, or the Oxford Reference (the latter actually accepts only the accented spelling). Urhixidur 23:31, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- it's also accepted, but it's not the most common. It's use by most players (in-game, in most games, as well as on this wiki) is 'melee', and I would request that this is maintained. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 23:40, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Plateau Wild Boar Fomor Scroll
I've updated the image of the Plateau Wild Boar Fomor Scroll but i'm not great with editing and Paint. The color is different, I don't know why you set it as Green (Wrong boar) but i'm not good at editing so if you're up to it I can send you the image of it. If you'd prefer it to be sent some other way tell me. I can send you Via E-mail or MSN. My msn is [email protected] and so is my e-mail. This is the link to the page: [[1]] --SwissedToast 00:56, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
- You were mistaken, confusing the Plateau Wild Boar with the Forest Wild Boar. All fixed now. Urhixidur 19:48, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Revisions on repair template | 2 | 20:05, 9 May 2011 |
Your revisions on Template:Repairs have been reverted several times, twice by normal users and once by wiki staff. I thought you might want to pay better attention to the revision history of an item before starting what could easily escalate into an edit war. I'm going to revert the latest edit to the newest version by Kotarou3, which was a recreation of the version by Angevon. I'd rather not see this get out of hand, but I will report any edit wars that I find, so that they can be resolved quickly and efficiently.
Oh my, you're right, it had been reverted earlier. I wasn't paying attention. Now the question is why is this incorrect style being opted for? Does this wiki have a manual of style? If not, why derogate from the universal convention of putting a space between a number and its measurement symbol? (See the Chicago Manual of Style, ISO:1000, and NIST Special Publications, to quote just a few)
I think you'll find that the answer to that is rather unsatisfactory. The wiki started out with it being formatted incorrectly, and, to keep formatting consistent without editing hundreds of equipment pages, we leave it that way. Based on your talk page, I can tell you've encountered this kind of issue before, notably with the Shoes category. Personally, I'd rather go with the correct style, but you'll have to take it up with Angevon, who is the one who does most of the formatting design for the wiki. The staff of this wiki aren't exactly sticklers when it comes to following English conventions to the letter, especially in cases like this, where commonplace conventions in many parts of the English speaking world (Notably, the USA) may contradict that. Anyway, there is something that I'm sure Angevon would appreciate help on more so than this. He's currently working on including some new templates into all of the equipment pages, but has not managed to even approach completion. Any help he gets in that area would probably be much appreciated, assuming that the templates are used correctly. In fact, the template we are discussing is one of those that has yet to be properly included in all equipment pages. As it is, thank you for understanding, and I'm glad I was able to prevent this from escalating into an edit war.
