Creation of new item (Equipment) pages. | 1 | 19:29, 3 September 2017 |
How To add pictures to Pages | 17 | 11:50, 17 July 2017 |
You asked about this on another page, but I figured I'd respond about it to you here:
Creating a page does not require any Java, you just need to search for the page and make sure you typed it correctly. After that you can create the page if it does not yet exist.
Here's a simple example of what an equipment page looks like upon initial creation (code-wise):
== Description ==
{{ClothingPreview
|noIcon=y}}
''Description between double single-quotes.''
== Base Stats and Information ==
{{Data{{PAGENAME}}|StyleEquip}}
== Dye Details ==
{{Dye Details
|A=Description of dyeable part A
|B=Description of dyeable part B
|C=Description of dyeable part C
}}

For tails you should replace ClothingPreview with TailPreview.
In case of doubt you can copy most of the code from an existing, similar item.
Templates are a little more complicated and is something that would take more time to explain in detail, but at least the above would allow you to add a few images already.
(I've already gone ahead and done this for the Fluffy Ribbon Kitty Tail for you)
!!! Thank you!! I'll try and create the page for the Blue Ornate Ribbon Wings soon O:!
How to add pictures to pages help me pls
First, be sure to read Wiki Tips for New Editors. I also found this page very helpful ^^
Now, I assume you're talking about the Divine Shield?
First off - don't link offsite images. Either use images that come from the official Nexon website or images that you have taken yourself.
Uhm I checked that page and I couldn't find anything in the Image Links, and I did take the pictures myself...I just didn't want it to be my character so I gave it to a friend to pose for me and I'm sorry for doing that ;u ;
It's fine to have a friend pose, I guess? xD; Only thing would be that you want as few other equips shown as possible, so in this case the wings are obscuring the shield a little bit.
As for the image not showing up - at the top of the item page, you see Edit, View History, a star, and More? Hover over the More and select "Purge" from the drop-down menu. Your image should show up on the item page, now.
aaaa I did my second attempt and I still don't know how to do it ; - ; (picture wise ) I did the editing for the uhh color patterns ? like where the colors go for each dye
The image looks fine for the time being, people will have a basic idea of what it looks like, at least. (I assume you mean this image)
Further improvements to your image could be (and these are also reasons that would be given for replacement):
- Hair covering part of the outfit (see the arms)
- Neutral pose (by equipping a Tailoring Kit or Handicraft Kit)
- When doing this, also make sure to align your character's feet properly.
- Cropping
- Removal of shoes (Because the outfit seems to come with its own stockings, and these are partially hidden by the shoes)
- No black/white on the outfit (unless this is a fixed/undyeable part)
This may seem like nitpicking, but that's how you get closer to that perfect picture.
D: hmm can I do it in the character simulation website thing ?
Nope. Namely because there are details that are probably inaccurate, like metallic textures or lighting.
That said, being old isn't an absolute requirement, but it can be replaced by someone who's older just because it shows more detail that way.
ah ok! I think I understand the requirements now, >A < still don't really understand picture uploading When I uploaded the uhh other pictures for the Otherworldly Hanbok F I refreshed the page but the pictures didn't come up
aaa just took a look at the page and it updated o. o does it take a while to update?
Yes, it takes a while to update by itself. If you're unsure you can try the Refresh option under "More", right next to the Search box on the top right of the page.
hmmm do the pictures NEED to be taken in Dunbarton School? can they be taken as a preview?
They can be taken anywhere as long as it has good lighting and the background is decent (Not disturbing or blending with the item being displayed).
If by preview you mean like previewing something in a shop, no, that doesn't really work as I recall (too small? lighting? white sux? I don't remember).
>A < aaaa okok so somewhere that doesnt clash with the item?
