I suggest making Noodles instead of Somen Noodles during rank B training, and the subsequent ranks that call for noodle-making. While it requires the additional egg, it will cut your wheat-gathering in half since you can use the product again to make the very simple Curry Udon. Somen is only used to make dishes that require either Meat Broth which is expensive to make, or beans that require many more steps.
