In MediaWiki, you can include any page, not just templates. Simply put the namespace of the page before the title, and enclose in curly brackets, like {{Talk:Status}} which gives:

You can include pages in the main namespace (i.e. those pages without one) as well, like this: {{:Elemental Forest}}
