Fusion Magic

Well, i got the skills with a question mark on it when I used it for the first time. It said "You have gained knowlege on the [x] skill". It also only said that I could only do 1~10 damage with it and the training method was to learn through other people or books. ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 09:26, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Notice

Your full-caps message on User talk:Gaby5011 was unnecessary in that it could've been worded better and used less capital letters, which can come across as screaming otherwise. Your little notice on User talk:Sentoushien was disrespectful and unnecessary of you to tell them to "GTFO" because they're "filling the wiki with crap." I've also noticed your repeated use of "idiots," etc, on summaries of your edit when fixing up previous work (although the policy states nothing against this, I know). Please try to be a kinder to other users on this wiki, and in the future, when trying to get a point across or telling someone what they shouldn't do, explain neatly -- not in full caps and rude gestures. --Aramet (Talk) 03:13, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

(after having browsed the contribs) Concur. Also, the more you yell at people, generally, the less they're inclined to change their behavior, unless they're meek/shy anyways. What you get, then, is you are unnecessarily rude to those who are shy or uninformed, and you don't change the behavior of people who are more assertive, because you end up coming off like an asshole and assertive people will tend to not back down when being yelled at. It's a lose-lose situation where the only positive is that you, the speaker, end up feeling more powerful. And it's only false/fake sense of power, the speaker is not really making a difference in the places where it matters. >.> -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 03:47, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm not actually angry, you know? It's the internet, and I'm yelling at them for being stupid. I honestly couldn't care less whether it causes them to be "less inclined to change their behaviour" - they've fucked up, they're stupid, and they need to be yelled at. I'm sure they're not going to break down into a crying heap over it- but it will get the message across to them.
What are you two trying to do, anyway? Enforce a moral code upon what I say to people? If you're going to come along and criticise my method of speaking to people, simply because it contrasts with your subjective views of what constitutes a "correct" form of communication, you can go jump. I'm not going to try and be kinder to people who aren't capable of basic grammar. IHarryl 04:01, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm saying that your method won't actually 'get the message across'. The people that might take your message to heart don't need the yelling, and the people that really need the notice won't back down because you're being rude. I'm saying you're being ineffective. -- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 04:44, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Great. Let me be ineffective. IHarryl 06:40, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
If I understand you right, you are choosing to act in a way that's counter-productive to your stated goal (getting better grammar). If so, why are you speaking so aggressively? You stated that you are not angry. You stated that you are yelling at people because they know less grammar than you do.
If you are actually not caring to change their behavior, then you are yelling at people purely for the sake of yelling. And that is harassment, which after a certain point I would find to be a bannable offense. It would be this way in most forums, as well as not highly regarded in real life in either your school or your workplace.
Please tell me I am wrong about these conclusions, I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt.-- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 08:58, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. I'm acting counter productively. I'm yelling at them because they're stupid. If they can't get better grammar, that's their own fault and I'll just yell at them more. Whatever. I just don't care about these idiots- I'll yell at them. It's not harassment- not in the legal nor literal sense. The most it could possibly be is libel, and I'm not even doing that because it doesn't cause anything similar to defamation. It's not a bannable offence, and the wiki policy says nothing against it. If you're seriously going to punish me for something that isn't in the rulebook by creating a new rule against it just because you feel like banning me, you're completely stupid. IHarryl 10:16, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
There is no need for full capital letter words at all on the wiki. If you do not know how to use the bold formatting, then you are as ignorant as the editors you disrespected. If the sysop user:irjustman sees this, he would most likely permanently ban you for continuously disrespecting an administrator.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 10:36, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Continuously disrespecting an administrator? What, so now all of a sudden you're classifying administrators as being more worthy of respect than other people?! You mean to say that, regardless of how much positive work someone does for the wiki, if they "disrespect" an admin, they'll be banned- to the detriment of the community? "Hey, guys- I've banned the guy who was a dick to me and I don't care if it makes the wiki a worse place overall, because my ONLINE EGO WAS AT STAKE."
Wow. You're all so impressive and powerful. IHarryl 10:54, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Seriously, please ban me- I want to see you idiots ban a person who has never maliciously edited a page or entered false information. Go on! Detract from the quality of the wiki! It's seriously MUCH easier on me to not have to correct errors or improve or add new information- really, it is! Never mind the increase in the quality of the wiki, I'VE OFFENDED YOUR SUBJECTIVE VALUES THAT ARE EQUALLY AS LOGICALLY VALID AS MINE! Quick, ban the shit out of me because my values differ! Who cares about the detriment to the wiki?! (...Aaand que the hail of criticisms of the quality of my edits)
Wikipedia:WP:Civil;Wikipedia:WP:NPA--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 11:11, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Did you address my argument, or blindly state policy from another website? Oh, wait- you're an administrator! I forgot that you can only mindlessly enforce rules, without any comprehension of their effects. Will it seriously make any difference whether or not I insult the users who write crap? No. I'm fixing their edits. If they choose to take offence, then they can have a big cup of Harden-the-fuck-up. It's the internet. I'm improving the wiki by removing nonsensical crap. No personal attacks? Fuck you.IHarryl 11:18, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Read this:Wikipedia:WP:Staying_cool_when_the_editing_gets_hot, it very good advice for you, so i don't have to write the reasons. Most of the policy for Wikipedia would apply to almost all wikis (even if unsaid/not written, it is common sense) because they are approved by a majority of people. So that probably implies that most of the people here would not like you to to yell. Also i'm not an admin, fooled you didn't i?--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 11:28, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Argument ad numerum. Just because many people agree to the moral principle doesn't mean it's correct. It doesn't matter whether you're an admin- you still shared the same idea that they were superior- and me asking to be banned was a general statement to anyone with the power. I honestly couldn't care less about Wikipedia's or your moral values- they're equally as valid as mine and therefore I don't give a flying fuck. I'm not actually angry- it's just the internet and I'll feel free to swear up a storm. If people seriously get uspet over it, I couldn't give a shit. You've all got some smug sense of superiority in thinking that your morals are more important and that your online egos are more important than the accuracy of information on the wiki. Either you accept that I've got something to contribute, after having seen my extensive grammatical improvements to the wiki, the alchemy crystal list page, the one about the lure of ballad and the images for all the cylinders, (all of which were added ages before any of these were ever released) or you whine and bitch about how I've damaged the feelings of some moron you've never even met. (If they're the kind of person who can have their will to life removed because of a combination of pixels on a screen, I have the feeling that they're the kind of person whose life wasn't worth much in the first place.) IHarryl 11:40, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I know you are frusrated, as i share the feeling on the edits, but you still can't be mean. Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by those edits too and just stop editing them. Although it's good that you persistently correct errors, I still believe that you can tell the editor what to do without yelling. Keep in mind that many people receive user talk changes in their emails, and just putting something on their talk page will get their attention. Just [1].--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 11:47, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Also, having a thick skin is not a prerequisite for editing a wiki. There are different people in this world and they may or may not be offended by your statements, but if they are, it does not mean they can't edit the wiki. However, respecting your fellow editors is a prerequisite for editing any wiki and stated in the policy. Having some useful contributions to work does not mean you can start disrespecting your coworkers or start behaving inappropriately. You are the one who thinks that you are superior than anyone else. No editors are more equal than others.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 00:36, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Okay, this is getting really similar to Skion ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 11:48, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

No, I'm a useful member who yells at idiots. He's a useless moron who yells at everyone. IHarryl 11:56, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Except you're currently yelling at everyone too, and I know the people who have been responding here aren't idiots. If I'm understanding you right, you are upset at what you deem to be arbitrary moral values. And yet you are taking advantage of these arbitrary values to rage at people who do not need raging against, based on *your* arbitrary values of intelligence. What if the editor has dyslexia, but had alot of data? What if they're not a native english-speaker? Their information is still valid.

And in response to the grammar, that's an exceedingly easy fix. I know that I ignore most grammar/spelling things I come across now because I'm letting other people do the work. I used to correct tons of grammar, and still do rewording things here and there, and I'm sure that other editors are the same. You're not that valuable simply for grammar edits, and your attitude and inability to comprehend teamwork values are increasingly making you less valuable to have around.

Most large projects both online and in real life require alot of people to collaborate on it. Which would require communicating with people from different walks of life in a manner that's effective and that will improve the quality of the group's output. Yelling at people is allowed only insofar as you either have the money to back you up (and thus are paying the people under you) or other such position of power, or you're an incredible genius that the group cannot work without. Currently, in this wiki, you're neither, and appear to ignore our politely worded requests to simply not use caps and to refrain from calling people idiots.

I don't know why you're so angry, it is very visible in your speech patterns and your logic, but honestly do hope that perhaps you are able to reflect on everyone's words and these situations before you alienate people from real life as well as from here.-- ladywinter ~{talk | contribs}~ 16:02, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Notified the server owner~ ~kotarou3 TALKCONTRIBS 06:08, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Yay! Here comes my super turbo IP ban, which will only cause detriment to the wiki by stopping me from being able to helpfully edit pages for the benefit of others! (By the way, I can has proxy?) IHarryl 06:13, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

MINDLESS SWEARING

(removed)

Wow. Looks like I'm really angry, right? You have to be angry to use words that others may choose to attach a negative connotation to, right?

In case you didn't get the hint- swearing isn't inherently bad. You are the ones attaching a negative connotation to it by being offended. Words are words. Get over yourselves.

We're not offended, that's just spam now. But it does show that you don't want to obey the policy and do anything you want or have a irrational desire to get ip blocked. Keep in mind you can be easily replaced by other editors.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 12:18, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
-AH, YES! OTHER EDITORS! The remarkably fine quality of whom is evident in their grammatically-void shit-fests. Furthermore, even assuming that they're going to be brilliant, why should I care? I can just leech content off this wiki without contributing in any way. if you ban me because you whiny little fucks are upset, it's your loss, not mine- regardless of how many clearly superior intellectuals will be replacing me. IHarryl 12:33, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
IP blocks can be bypassed. Again, your policies are meaningless- or didn't you read my explanation? IHarryl 12:26, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Those are not my policies. You agreed to them on your first edit. If you want to use the wiki, simply follow the policy. If you don't, then do whatever you want and let the sysops take over.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 12:32, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
And I need to follow wiki policy simply because it exists, is that it? Even if what I'm doing contributes positively to the wiki, if I insult you and your precious online identity I'll be banned and the wiki and its users will suffer. Despite this logically superior argument, you're continuing to spew your bullshit argument all over the place- crap like "obey wiki policy because it exists". The fact is that it doesn't matter. None of it does. What matters is the end content that's being delivered to the user being improved- and that's what's happening. If you're going to get angry at me because YOU CHOOSE to be annoyed by my WORDS that appear BEHIND THE SCENES, COMPLETELY DETACHED FROM THE MAIN PRODUCT OF THE WIKI, IT'S CONTENT, then you're, put simply, pathetic. IHarryl 12:38, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I rather have an editor who contributes and does so in an orderly manner who also respects other fellow editors and obey the policies of the wiki than someone who contributes but cannot obey the policies and apparently likes to talk trash. I advise that stop all that nonsense immediately. If anything, you're being disrespectful, not just to administration but to fellow editors as well, which is in the policy. We're not asking for any special respect, but at the moment you have 0 respect when all we ask is that you treat editors better. If you just agreed, we would have just been on our merry path and ended this conversation, but you believe there is a crusade to fight here for some sort of "rights", when in truth, we just ask you to behave and that's all. Now, I want to ask you, what part of the policies don't you understand? And do you think you are following the policy by saying you did nothing wrong or that we're not following the policy by not respecting you? Cause from what I see it, we are respecting you by merely saying, "don't do this again" and leave it like that, but not only you insisted otherwise, you decided to make a whole section worth of spam. Take some time to think on it. --Miyuna 13:09, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
I think he has clearly expressed that he doesn't give a **** about any rules on the internet and can do anything he wants to if he feels like it. Incivility between editors disrupts the sole purpose of a wiki; to collectively collaborate with other people in order to improve an open-content information database.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 23:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
All I was saying is why should you care if I swear at an idiot when I fix their work? Either have me swear or don't have me help at all. That's all I've been trying to say. Whatever. I'm tired of this. IHarryl 01:08, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Wow... I mean just... wow

I briefly read a bit of what was happening on the subject at hand as well as glossed over your "contributions". I am at a loss for words right now. "Flabbergasted" does not even start.

If you truly care about the quality of this wiki's content as you seem to profess, please do not use such foul, spiteful words toward others. You should work with your fellow editors, not against them. Save your self-righteousness for something else. It does not belong here.

Furthermore, you must obey the wiki's policy if you wish to continue contributing to this wiki. Just editing this wiki indicates that you agree to be bound by its policy, even if you have not read it.

Just so you know, this server is my personal property. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior here. As such, you need to either behave yourself or go somewhere else.

This is your first and last warning. --Irjustman 07:26, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Re:Grammar

I just remove opinion text, like "useless". but "superior grammar"? I just revert page. -_- ok. I don't check previous page. sorry. --Juff 11:55, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Sorry. It's my fault. --Juff 12:44, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Time out for bad behavior

Really, I do not see where you get off on insulting your fellow editors. Granted, I will not deny that there are poor edits in the system, but you need not insult those whose spelling/grammar/mechanical skills are not up to your standards.

Remember, this is my machine, so you play by my rules. You just broke them. You get to pay for that.

You are not allowed to edit this wiki for three (3) days starting from now. After the third day, the block will automatically expire.

If you must contest this ban, please go to the forums and state your case.

--Irjustman 21:02, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

There was a discussion somewhere that a temporary wiki suspension just makes angry people angrier.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 21:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
