To my dearest Betsan -
I was able to hide the existence of our child by forcefully activating several components of the Memory Tower, as we discussed.
The child's potential is truly limitless. I know not how our union caused both our abilities to be so strongly expressed in him, but it seems similar to the way we Elves share our memories with one another.
Unfortunately, it appears my tampering may not have gone unnoticed. I know not whether this letter will find its way to you, but however this plays out, at least you and our child will be free to live unseen by the chief's watchful eye.
