Nullroutes/IP Blocks
Out of curiosity, are these actually an effective measure? I, for example, have a dynamic IP address that gets rotated every 24 hours. And transparent proxies falsify it quite well as well. What are the chances of any malicious users using a static IP address?
It depends on how advanced they are. Vandals usually don't think about their IP.
Sadly, there is no way to ban a dynamic ip (I wish...) and that goes for all servers (see IJs note on his page) so the best we can do is ban whatever new IPs they're using...
