So I heard all the Alexina's channels crashed...
...yes? o-o Kinda glad I didn't log in.
To my understanding, there is an unusual amount of lag and stuff. Servers are acting...quirky and there's a possible chance of some overdue downtime to fix all the problems.
Tha lag and latency was already worse since the last maintenance. Not gonna bother to log in at the moment :/
Nexon just needs to shut down the game and fix it. Solve the problem with Hackers by add more protection cause they are still messing with the game from what it looks like.
1. It isn't the hackers. I'm pretty sure they don't have a knowledge to actually mess with the game log in server itself
2. I'm pretty sure it is the 101R patch that initially caused the people to lag/disconnect in Tara and Taillteann, then it moved on to log in servers and the game server itself.
3. Yes, devCat needs to shut down the game... it would be very appreciated if they showed any signs of effor to provide us with support, rather than sucking our money with those little petty gachapons. The service in NA is uncomparably poor compared with the Korean staffs, who still are criticized for their performance. We already saw how bad we were striken by hackers (yay camps and dead npcs), only to see it get repeated in TW. I just want some skilled Mabinogian to step up and give us new client reading just like the 94 patch :I
Yeah, it isn't the hacks, however, it is also not the servers. The severs are not "crashing" in the normal sense. (To tet this, drop an accessory and wait to D/C. When you log in, the accessory will still be there) I believe that Nexon's ISP is having problems, or possibly getting DoS'd. Repeat: this is (most likely) NOT a problem with Mabinogi!. This is further backed up by Nexon's site being down/extremely laggy.
The 101 lag is separate from this. The 101 lag is caused by the game having to do "on the fly" decryption of graphics files it needs, thus slowing it down, and explaining why graphically intense areas (Like Tara) result in so much trouble.
