Mabi Start Up Problem

Mabi Start Up Problem

I NEED HELP! I downloaded Mabi on my new laptop which has windows 8. I downloaded it on December 19th and played for a few hours. The next day it went through maintenance. When I tried to play after maintenance it wouldn't work. I was told to uninstall it and re-install. When it was done I tried playing again. It was done patching and I clicked 'Game Start' and a error message popped up saying, "The instruction at 0x77cb1085 referenced memory at 0x0000004. The memory could not be read." I have no idea what that means or how to fix it...

I heard that Mabinogi has many problems with Windows 8, I think the same thing is happening to my friend as well.

Have they not found a way to fix it yet..?/:

Perhaps they aren't even aware of this problem?

Windows 8 Client Support is supposedly coming out in G17S4, but that's based on foreign servers.

So there's nothing I can do about until they somehow fix it..?

Yes, and I just figured out they have a post on the forums about the issue.

I've been playing Mabi on Win8 64-Bit without any weird issues for a while now. Only thing I can think of I did is that I installed it in a nonstandard path (not into Program files, but elsewhere.)

Hecate is right because if u want to avoid those weird problems just follow wat Hecate did or just look for a nexon folder that is empty and then double click on it then u click proceed with download and then when it is done downloading leave it alone for like 1-2mins and then u r rdy to play.
