Ducat-Purchased Weapons

Ducat-Purchased Weapons

We should make this decision before it comes to NA, in my opinion (this will remove any possible conflict). Lets take the Tidal Wave Cylinder for example. The Demon Tidal Wave Cylinder (likely not going to be called Demon when it comes to NA since that's a misnomer), should we make a new page for it or add on its data on Tidal Wave Cylinder's page? Also, if we do put it on the same page, we can either use two Weaponbox templates, one for each, or we can use one and put the Demon version's stats in parenthesis and write a note at the bottom. If we go with the second option, we also need to add on to the template so the repair box has ducat-repair rate. Demon weapons use the same upgraders as the original but may only be repaired at Fomor NPCs in every town outside of Iria for Ducats. Personally, I think we should just make separate pages for each, but that's just my opinion.

I think separate pages. There's a lot of similarly named equipment but are truly not the same.

Example: Claymore -> Highlander Claymore.

Aren't Fomors called Demons on KR?

I shall assume it shall be called Fomor Highlander Claymore and etc.

What I've heard is that they go by the word Fomor and Demon in Korea, however Demon is not correct for NA, at least...

Now I hear if you log off you can get banned. :l Really. I dont think it's true but I dont wanna risk my chances Dx

o_O does that relate to this topic?

No... Probably just really wanted to complain.

Pyro - (Talk)19:50, 13 September 2011

Oh sorry! XD I posted this on the wrong one! >_<

i think we should leave it alone for the most part. only have differnt pages IF the stats are different like the claymore and highlander have different atk/crit/bal and a few others.

if the stats are the same, then just add a new box under price for ducat

Dragoncide11:04, 29 September 2011

If the stats were the same, it'd be pointless to even have them in the game... There are more differences. And I don't see why people keep bringing up the Highland Claymore. They don't even have the same description or icon, they're not the same at all.

Having two weaponboxes or putting the stats in parenthesis seems like it'd be too cluttered one one page. I say separate pages, and add the ducat repair rate.

Edit: Just looked in the updated itemdb.english.xml. They've got different names and descriptions. Using the same page just wouldn't be right.

i'd think just a link to the Demon version would be better imo.. new little clicky next to the name on both pages (see orig version here) (see Fomor version here) and a list of all Fomorian weapons would be nice to.. new category..~

Omnomnomnom12:59, 28 September 2011

Eh, a Category too, but it'd more so need a lists page. But yes, the see original-see Fomor version is a good idea.

Pyro - (Talk)13:06, 28 September 2011

^ u^ any idea if fomorian weapons will be upgradable and all that? like battle swords can still get art and ug?? i havnt looked to much into them tbo :x

Omnomnomnom13:21, 28 September 2011

They can receive, Upgrades (Artisan and Jewel too), Enchants, and Enhancements. But they can't be made into Spirit Weapons or be Special Upgraded.

Pyro - (Talk)13:22, 28 September 2011

Aaaah so then in the end it can be a extra little boost w/o dropping a ton on upgrade stones or hitting hm dungeons for a solid day to get just a few <3 thanks a bundle ^ ^

and any idea if your gonna have to use ducats to repair them?

Omnomnomnom13:29, 28 September 2011

Gold to upgrade, ducat to repair. The Ogre, Goblin, and Imp repair Fomor weapons in that order from worst to best/cheapest to most expensive. Upgrades are at the same NPCs as normal. All three Fomor repairs are in every town in Uladh, and in Belvast.
