Other Attributes on Spirit Wands

(Yes, me again)... Can Spirit Wands gain any other special features normally found on upgrade paths besides the chain-casting from Social? I mean are there any non-obvious features to the other attributes besides the direct stat gain (half-counting the elemental boost from the Str-based damage modifier)? Is it possible to change casting cost / casting time / mana preservation... or will I have to resort to having an assortment of different elemental wands in my inventory for that (plus the Trinity Staff)?

Every 5 levels of social, an ego wand gets +1 to the Chain Casting. From what I've seen, the damage on the wand does add damage to the spell. I've heard ego Healing Wands make Heal more effective, and ego Fire Wands can do Chaincasting for the price of one bolt, but I've never personally tested those. You can't make it not chain cast, or make the chain casting be something else. (Kind of sucks for Lightning Wands, since the ego makes Thunder Stronger, but CC+4 makes LB much weaker.)

Ego Lightning wand is BA. My ego wand is Str 25, Social 23, and owns multi-aggro. You still get max damage against the target, it's the additional targets that take reduced damage. Plus multiple charges of LB knock-back or knock-down their target. 5-charging LB for the cost of 1 LB charge is just stupid powerful.

@Simpet and UmJammerLammy Are you two sure that spirit lightning and fire wands gain chaincasting without extra mana cost? My spirit ice wand (lol bad choice) uses mp like a normal chaincasting ice wand so I find it hard to believe that the other wands would get this bonus.

Chaincast bolt magic consumes mana equal to the number of charges plus any additional mana costs obtained from an upgraded weapon. Should the player have enough mana to cast at least one charge of the respective bolt spell, they will receive a chaincasted bolt. The advantage of a spirit wand is that chaincasting can be obtained without having increased mana usage due to chaincast upgrades.

A spirit weapon chaincasted spell will consume mana for each charge, at least until the player hits zero mana.

I know that already. What the other two were implying was that, for example a 21 social fire wand would chaincast+4 for only 6 mp, assuming rank 1 firebolt. I know that you're allowed to load all 5 bolts even when you only have 6 mp left in your mp pool, but they seemed to be saying that even if you had max mp, you'd still only use the mp of one charge.

Well, I can't say with 100% certainty that it only uses 1 charge worth of MP with Fire Bolt, but I do have a friend with Ego Fire Wand who says they only use 1 charge's MP per casting. I have no idea at all about the Lit Wand. I also know Ice Wand does not only use 1 charge's mp / casting, since I had one as an ego. (Til I destroyed it since Ice Bolt eats dura insanely fast lol)
