Limit to obtaining Bull Whistle/pet

I have no idea where to put the following information on the main page, but I have verified that you can obtain the Bull Whistle only by completing the relevant quest. (Talking to the host again with 777 tickets doesn't award you a whistle.) On a related note, you can get a whistle for every character that has the aforementioned quest; I completed the quest with both my elf and human characters, and am now the somewhat proud owner of two useless-in-battle walking item bags whose affection is still pretty cute.
