Why do we have negatives in blue and positives in red? Shouldn't we have it like it shows in-game as the other way around?

Because generally, a lower CP is better. But Nexon likes to play tricks on people and make people think high CP is good, esp for players who aren't completely clear on the concept of CP.

I know that less CP is generally a good thing but is that enough reason to show it otherwise than the game shows? I'm not entirely sure about the trickery though.

It's not as if we're required to copy everything from the game exactly as is.
