Just a heads up glasses can be repaired tailors which theoretically means it's possible to repair at 94-99%
Source: Glasses List and personal in-game testing.
Hmm.. then this is going to be weird. Glasses are misc repairable, but not all misc repairable are tailor repairable. I guess we can do if misc repairable and if headgear: make it Misc/Tailor. But we'd have to make sure all glasses can be misc/tailor repairable and all headgear with misc repairable are glasses.
hmmm yeah might be more complicated then I first thought
Firstly I went through the wiki the saw some glasses that are Tailor Only repair Rubber Goggles, Eluned Alchemist Glasses unfortunately both of these items are inaccessible to me in-game to check if their also misc repairable...
personally I was just giving you a heads up, if its too much trouble you can easily just leave things as they are it's already mentioned in a few locations their tailor repairable chances are people will figure it out one way or another.
Dyeable wings have the /custom_dye_only/ tag which incorrectly adds in information that they require mini dyes.
Mini dyes are for specifically marionettes, and I assume that's what the /custom_dye_only/ was exclusively used for at one point. Fact is the tag is now used by dyeable wings as well and the template still references mini dyes.
I get that part. There's no one dye for dyable wings tho right? Is there individual ones per wings? Do they have a predictable naming pattern? I don't use wings at all I've only gotten one wing dye before from gacha.
- Some wings take their own specific unique dye item, like "Wings of Tuan" use the "Direct Dye Ampoule (Wings of Tuan)".
- Those wings have the following two tags: /wing_of_tuhan/custom_dye_only/
- And the dye item has this in the extra data: dyeable_item_string_id="/wing_of_tuhan/".
- So the actual for-what info is on the dye and not on the wings themselves, which makes it harder to deal with. A manual note on each item that takes a unique dye (instead of inferring it from the tags) will be needed instead.
- On the other hand there are wings that can be dyed using normal dyes now, like "Sparrow Wings (Dyeable)", which don't have any messy tag business and take normal dyes, so those don't need any special handling, I just wanted to mention them here because they are also a type of dyeable wings.
Since new equipment (ex. Vampire Hunter Set, Languhiris Chaser Set) has these new stats, where should they be added onto this template?
If I'm not mistaken, there's a string in the StyleEquip that categorizes what Two-Handed Weapons are equippable by elves. Why don't we do the same thing for Heavy Armor?
I didn't mean putting the category tag at the bottom of the page, I meant there's a string in the Template that automatically links the page to categories.
Doesn't that already exist by default? I'm not a specialist on this, but like on Dowra SE there's no mention of the race in the '|Category=' but it's still in http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Category:Two-Handed_Weapons_Elves_Can_Equip
Tested it just now. I see what you mean, :U.
There are some non-clothing items that have "agelimit_cloth" in their string, so they are being put into Category:Magical Clothing. Not knowing how to fix that, I was thinking we could remove that category, and use the catch-all Category:Magical Equipment instead for all the Magical items, since the template already puts everything into it anyway. Besides that, there are also clothes with "agelimit_cloth" that don't have the properties of magical clothing (auto-defense), for example Swim Trunks (M) and the Pirate equipment. Their only link to Magical Clothing is their repairs.
- Not 100% sure that the repair section is completely accurate. It's been a while since I worked on this template, so I may have forgotten to triple check some items.
- New Categories
- The categories in this template differ somewhat greatly than the current categories that are used.
- First Implementation
- I'm going to do some sloppy ass work, so I'm not going to clean up my itemdb while I implement this template. I will fix it up in the near future. But the only problem this will cause is a tiny larger page size. Nothing to worry about.
- Pretty sure I didn't miss anything in the "Other Information" section.
- If so, leave a message in this thread and/or my talk page.
- If there is anything I should add/remove/change in this template, notify me asap. The sooner the better.
- While I implement this template for the first time, I will leave a sitenotice at the top to indicate changes being made.
- Future equipment will need to be processed through itemdb as well, otherwise information may be incorrect.
- Similar to the fashion of changing the StyleWeapon template.
Thanks, and sorry for the mess I'm about to make.
Just want to say fantastic job on this, it looks great, much neater than the old format (Write whatever where ever.) I don't know how much of the wiki you have gotten through, but I would be more than willing to help spread it if you wanted a hand.
Help would be more than appreciated, considering it took me 3 days to get through the easy part of the 1st 800 pages. Now I have 769 more articles to go and these will take longer than the first 800 because these are not preformatted unlike the previous ones, where the data page was already constructed and all I needed to do was fill in the string and format the lists. I have format the article, create the data page, and migrate all the data.
If you would really like to help, you can create the data page for the pages in Category:NeedStyleWearable and just fill in repair/obtain/information from the article and leave the rest to me. But don't format the article page because I will need to triple check everything and add in the template & all that. If you do decide to assist, I will appreciate it greatly, but it's fine if you don't. :)
Sure, I can give it a shot in a little while, I have a few hours to spare. more than willing to lend a helping hand.
I would recommend working backwards, from the end of the category to the beginning, since I'm working on it currently. I wouldn't want our edits to conflict. Thanks a bunch!
wow templates are confusing when you don't know what you are doing lol :\ I did Vintage Starry Wizard hat, is that all you want me to do on them?
Okay. Just scared to do all this, because I am basically removing all info on the item until you get to that page :O But if that is good then I will get to work ;D
Also, probably shouldn't change the actual equipment page, otherwise it'll get removed frm the category and I'll never find it. :x!
eeek shoot sorry. Didn't think of that. Good thing you caught that. Not sure how to create pages without clicking on a broken link :l
No worries. You can simple append Template:Data
to the front of the page or you can add the template, but don't save the page, just preview it and click the broken link.
After only a short time I realize the vast amount of behind the scenes work you do. Your dedication to this wiki astounds me. :o
Sorry for getting in the way while you work, but when you said I could remove repair rates was that because the specific item had none? or because you put that piece in with itemdb? Realized you originally said put it in. :L
Edit: also I have been coming across a lot of pages with smithing details under the same page name, I have just been adding in new info, is that right .-.
If there are repair values in the page, put it into the data.
As for smithing information, just put two line breaks before all of it and put the info there.
Okay. I missed a few repair values then :\ I will go back and try to find the ones the fit those things and fix.
It's already, don't worry about them. Once I figure out the repair cost formula, all repair values shall be complete. buahaha >:D
Lol :P okay, well I already fixed a bunch of them, I'll just skip to the smithing ones, they are easy enough to locate
Need to stop for the night, got done with U-Z alphabetically. I will get back to work when my brain isn't mush. you said you did 800 in 3 days? ; -;
800 of just putting in string, didnt have to create template & fill in, just format. I'm just about to quit for the night, too. Thanks a lot for the help! :)
Ahh. still, only got through like 60-70 in like several hours. No problem! The equip pages have needed a clean up for a long time, I am glad to be a part of it. :)
