Hey: with the passive defense upgrades is the % added to that gained from transformations, or does only the higher one count? -Novaix

Passive Defense %s that come from shields are separate from transformation Passive Defense %s. The two will stack ontop of eachother. ex: 20% passive melee in trans + 5% passive melee from a shield = 25% total passive melee defense. --SwissedToast 21:15, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

That isn't quite right, they compound. That is to say that the chance of PD is Chance A + Chance B - Chance AB. So it'd be .2 + .05 - (.2*.05) = .24 (24%) Another way to calculate this out is 1-((1-Chance A) * (1-Chance B)) Tellos 21:20, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

So, I tried to upgrade my Round Shield over at Andras, and to my surprise she has the option to apply an Artisan Upgrade to it. I don't have enough prof on mine yet; does anyone know how we usually find out the possible bonuses given for Artisan?

Supposedly shields all have the same upgrades: Artisan_Upgrade#Artisan_Upgrade_for_Shields (bottom of page)

I once found a white wood, black metal round shield from hitting a snowman. Default stats. I laughed.
