Talk:Port Ceann
Im confused to what is the true name of this area Port of Ceann or Ceann Harbor because the world map says its Ceann Harbor. -- hawk400206
- Meh, let's just leave it as what it is now until the area is open. --- Angevon 02:48, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
WHAT!
I went to Port Ceann, did the quest, and I HAVE a Boarding Ticket, when I try to neter it says, Can Not board yet, why? -User:MasterRyan 9:50 PM, EST, December 20, 2008
- Because Iria isn't open yet. The ship doesn't have anywhere to go. -User:Sherida
Then why did they have me fix the boat and get a Boarding Ticket, it makes no sense!? -User:MasterRyan 9:58 PM, EST, December 20, 2008
Calm down. In reality, Iria is patched in, meaning that we won't have to wait for another patch to get the start of G4. The Boarding Pass is preperatory for when the boat is ready to go. When the fortune teller arrives in Dunbarton, she'll tell us how to get on the boat by having us collect notes (AKA, the four notes from the note-in-the-bottle Sidequests). Once we give them all to her, our path to Iria will be unlocked, and the captain of the ship will be there. --redemption2 18:59, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- WELL! the astrologer came and left, and still NO IRIA! - User:MasterRyan 1:28 PM EST, January 22, 2009 - ADD: its been 1 month since you said that by the way.
To Enter Ceann
To enter Port of Ceann, does one have to complete the quest per say, or does one have to only do this during the Extra Generation. I think this only applies during the Extra Generation because I wasn't required to complete the quest in JP Mabi, thus making the quest-only method for G3 ES only, right? - Mix 9:04 PM EST, December 21, 2008
- I agree, because if everyone is awaiting Iria, the will not make that worker stand forever, I think they just did this for the lucky few who figured it out, Nexon is probably upset that we gave it away, more maps for us :D -User:MasterRyan 11:50 AM, EST, December 22, 2008
- I guess so. In KR we don't even have to bother with that boat-making quest mentioned up there. But it's nice for us to have something to do while waiting for G4. ---Angevon
Entering Ceann
I didn't do a quest or anything to get there. All I did was go though the Moon Gate.
lol, because Iria has been OFFICIALLY released, and unfortunately, the quest no longer stands (what? I like the quest :P) - User: MasterRyan
Name Change
The in-game name of Port of Ceann is "Port Ceann." Should we update the name?--Miner/Metallurgist 12:44, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm wondering, do they even touch the Moon Gate, since Port Ceann lost its ship and therefore is no longer a special place?
Nexon did say they planned to remove it, but decided to keep it for some strange reason...
They decided to keep the Moon Gate? I thought they just planned to keep the map and not the gate instead of removing the place all together.
... THAT'S JUST STUPID...
Why would they KEEP a portal heading to a POINTLESS place?
I didn't say they decided to keep the Moon Gate, you did. They're removing the Moon Gate but not the place. Port Ceann is the favorite of many players in most~all servers and it's also ideal event land.
Port Ceann is the only place to gather Shellfish from selected spots in the sand, and the only way to fish up Silk-Striped Marlins. I go there once in a while to gather these ingredients for my cooking.
In JP, Port Ceann and its Moon Gate is kept because the NPC there is part of the quest to go to Nekojima. The only thing changed is that you can no longer board the boat (a rope blocks the way) and the place is crossed out on the World Map.
Therefore, IF AND IF Nexon NA were to eventually implement Nekojima (maybe or maybe not, who knows~) in NA, they'd logically have to keep Port Ceann open.
I keep forgetting to check, but... The Moongates still have Ceann in the list, what happens if you try to go through the gate?
In Generation 15, Port of Ceann is removed. Should we leave the page or remove it after Generation 15 arrives in NA?
I second that, with also putting a notification template or coding at the top of the page saying it was removed.
Wait, wait wait. If it gets removed, how do people ferry over to Iria?
Wouldn't this also mean Morva Aisle also change as well?
But, yeah, I third that as well.
You can reach Qilla from Port Cobh or Velvas. (You can sail to or past Velvas in each port.) But I'm not sure about Morva, I haven't seen anyone talk about it or show an Uladh world map for G15.
Ceann is still a location on test server's world map, and still a moongate location. I haven't tried going there yet, though.
...? Is it really not getting removed...? Are you guys sure?
- Q: I've heard a rumor that Port Ceann was being deleted at g15 due to low traffic, but haven't seen any hard evidence of this. Is it true or just nonsense?
- A: Yes, Port Ceann will be removed in the G15 update
IIRC, Iria is only accessible by boat from Cobh. Taking the boat from Belfast will always return you to Cobh. So it's Belfast <-> Cobh <-> Qilla.
(A weird decision IMO, since Belfast would be closer to Qilla than Cobh....but then again it can be handwaved with how the waves around Belfast maybe too hard to navigate, etc xD)
