Talk:Paladin
I found out a glitch about the book of paladin quest where you can't exit the chat with Redire when he offers for you to quit the case. I added this to the wiki to bring this attention.--Marioandli 00:38, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
"Transforming will restore HP/Wounds, Mana, Stamina/Food." should be rephrased, as it does not completely restore all status, but rather to somewhere around 90-95% of it. --Chizuru 05:34, 21 May 2008 (PDT)
I'm pretty sure it just gives you extra max hp/mp/stamina. It doesn't actually restore any lost hp/mp/food/hunger.Ziv 06:09, 21 May 2008 (PDT)
The G3+ skills such as Heavy Stander are also future content. The same tag is being applied to all of the skill pages due to not having Rank 6+ skills available at the moment. The tag specifies that some of the content is not available in North America, and this article satisfies that requirement. Okiesmokie 22:57, 18 May 2008 (PDT)
Paladins are in the game already. The only thing that's future content is the one sentence about how to skip G2. There's no reason to have the future content tag.Ziv 19:18, 18 May 2008 (PDT)
i think that wen u transform it just increases ur current hp/mp/sp by the same amount that it increases ur max, and when the transformation is canceled, it makes sure you have the same percentage of ur max as a human as you did just before canceling it.Sozen Cratos Focker 17:03, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
G1 Dungeons
The guide says that you can't enter the G1 Dungeons while transformed, but you can transform after you get in? This isn't true, you can't enter while transformed, and you can't transform inside either. Can someone vertify please? Or is this just happening to me?
Life Skills Bonuses
I was Blacksmithing earlier today when a friend partied with me, normally this wouldn't add anything to my success rate but since he was transformed it gave me a 12% bonus. Is this a standard increase? Or was it because of how he had leveled his paladin skills? If anyone knows could they add the information to the wiki? It would be an extremely useful piece of information for anyone attempting a difficult and expensive creation task.--Jacobpaige 06:49, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I've searched, I've found absolutely nothing as to how the party bonus works for Production skills, and I don't think anyone's found a formula for it either. One time I made a production party of 5, and my Fabric weaving skill jumped from 45% to 88%. I didn't know if any of the others were Paladins, but that was the biggest production jump I had ever seen, and it wasn't even Monday or raining. I think the bonus has a lot to do with each person's dexterity (sans the huge bonus with Paladins) and Production Mastery, plus the ranks of the collective production skill that you're using. I once joined an 8-player production team that was all working on weaving while I was doing Potion Making, and I didn't even get a 2% boost. Sorry I can't help more. --redemption2 19:59, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
From my own experience and from what redemption2 said, it seems like the Production bonuses do not affect anyone but the leader. Though, this is still only theory. I will further research this topic and get back to this when I can. --Eiyuu 11:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- nope I've received production bonuses before when I was not the leader. However, I don't know if the leader gets MORE bonus. It'd be a good thing to look into -- Ladywinter 05:28, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I have information regarding the so called Bonus. As i have tested in the start we had 70% then after i transformed into a paladin we still had only 70%. as i've found you do not get a bonus from HAVING a paladin in the party though the boost in Dex does help your PERSONAL Success rate. -- DinArcher 7:40, 31 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm under the impression that the obnus is everyone's production mastery rank combined into one bonus. It can't include the relevant stat for the skill, noted due to transforming. It could be using the base stat of the skill [not boosted when trans] but it might not.Novaix 00:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Too difficult to see
I divided the summary section so the page looks better.
Transformation time
It says "The paladin transformation time will vary with rank, age, and number of rebirths" but what exactly is the equation to find this? -- Saphryu 05:57, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- No one knows? Maybe they know this because of the different times everyone's Paladin lasts. --Kevin 06:01, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
well, if noone knows the actual formula, maybe we should try 2 figure it out. if everyone who uses this site whos a paladin records how long their transformation lasts and their age, rank, and number of rebirths, and records it again every time they age, rebirth, or rank up the skill, we should be able to figure that out from the data. then again, some korean fansite probably has that info, we should just get ppl we no who can read korean to look for it.Sozen Cratos Focker 18:57, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- It goes up when you rebirth, and it goes down when you age. I'm not very sure if it has anything do to with rank. I also forgot the exact time. --Kakurady 12:28, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Some hard data I recorded before I went DK, a week or two ago:
Level 29, age 10, 6 rebirths, rank 8 Spirit of Order: 4 minutes, 26 seconds, approximated to the nearest second.--Erwing 04:45, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Erm now has anyone confirmed the Time? ~ Shadowboy132
- You wish! It varys within stats. And stats always change :< --Kevin 05:18, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
- That doesnt answer my question... ~ Shadowboy132
I will put it simply as from what Erwing as researched: Higher age decreases the time, number of rebirths increases the time, and leveling up and the rank of Spirit of Order do not affect the time at all. To get the most out of a transformation time, rebirth as many times as you can and stay at age 10. At a side note, to make greater use of transformation, try to save it until 5:50 am then transform. Doing so will allow you to still have a transformation saved up. -- Eiyuu 9:20, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I Think it is much faster if you can take advantage of free rebirth in order to increase the time of Paladin, at age 17 to age 20 it is only 3 weeks per rebirth, and instead of worrying about the time, you can level up more often and get champion sooner than age 10 to age 20 rebirth.--Dra6o0n
There is also the fact that people can rebirth after 1 week so constantly staying at age 10 will level more often then 17-20. Its just a matter of having the NX or not.
-- Taken data from DK discussion page --
Rebirths add time, which appears to be about 7-8 seconds. Verification may be needed. Age subtracts time, which appears to be about 2 seconds. Verification may be needed. Level does not affect the timer. Spirit of Order rank does not affect the time. (note: I changed Soul of Chaos to Spirit of Order)
I figure Paladin and Dark Knight Transformation times are similar. If this is the case age subtract goes off of base age 10 (hence an age 17 will have 14 seconds less of transformation) Data still needs to be tested.
- Nobody mentioned if aging will permanently decrease the time as you age... But everyone knows that rebirth counter is always going up so the former may be true...--Dra6o0n
- Aging does not permanently decrease the time. For an example, you can take age pots to lower your age to increase the time, or to increase your age to lower it (Though, I do not know why one would want to do this). -- Eiyuu 17:10, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- Er, no. Age pots don't affect your age, just how you look. They don not in any way affect transformation time. And as I recall from the DK discussion, I thought we worked it out to be +12 from rb's and -9 from aging. --Fracture

The number of rebirths does affect it. I think I have 6 rebirths and my paladin transformation lasts 4 hours. The one extra hour is probably off the rebirths which each add 10 erinn minutes User:Yumekai627 20:57, 31 May 2009
Training Paladin Skills
The individual skills say it takes a certain amount of levels by "training" the skill. Do the skills all level up on thier own with Spirit of Order or do each skill need to be trained individually?
- They have to be trained individually.--Jacobpaige 19:09, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
If you are a champion, will you still get 10 points to level up the other skills? --Dranagra 19:03. 14 September 2012
- yes. And you should probably use the LiquidThreads instead... --͟͞ҡ͟͞ε͟͞ѵ͟͞ו͟͞͞η [͟͞т͟͞α͟͞ι͟͞κ] 20:21, 14 September 2012 (PDT)
Skip G2
So is G2 skippable in NA or not? If not, I suggest removing the parts mentioning it. ---Angevon 18:16, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
How is it skipped in the foriegn versions? If it is the wierd cat, you should be able to skip G2 after skipping G1. I dont think it is in the US version yet, but im not sure --TGFL
- That's what I'm asking. Can it be skipped in NA? It can't be skipped in KR at this time although it used to be possible. Angevon
- Im guessing we should just remove it until we find out if, when, and how to skip G2, if possible. TGFL
- EDIT - I removed the skip G2 info for paladin passive defensive, and modified the skip G2 info in the general summary at the top of the page ---TGFL
- Well, I just saw the part about skipping in the passive defense info, so I removed that part, and changed it to "Since you Finished Generation 2, the book will contain pages (chapters) 1 and 2 , and you'll only need to get the other 5 pages. --FFVIISephy 18:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Passive Defense
Does anyone have any more information on these skills? At present there is little or no indication as to exactly what they do. From the descriptions given i can only guess that they randomly reduce damage and prevent stunning from certain attacks, but the amount of damage that is reduced and the chance of activation are still total mysteries to me--Jacobpaige 09:48, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I added the info from JP wiki to their respective skill pages. I don't know what they meant by "countdown" however. I didn't see the activation chance on there.---Angevon
- Thank you--Jacobpaige 05:20, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Can someone add the summary from the passive paladin defence skills and put it under the summary for this? It seems better to put all the skill summary in 1 location.--Dra6o0n
Skill Ranking
I've added a small section on the skill ranking to clarify how it works, as they way it said it before was somewhat confusing. If it's alright, I'm thinking of adding it to all the transformation pages. Could someone look it over and see if it's good? --Fracture
Damage
Where it mentions damage [min or max] does it only boost melee damage, or all types?Novaix 00:02, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Most likely Melee and Ranged. It shouldnt have effect on Magic though.~ Shadowboy132
No it doesn't seem like it affects magical damage any. But range and melee go up. ~Astrenar
Advantages & Disadvantages
I'd like to add this to the Transformation Chart as a comparision of Dks and Pallys. ~ Shadowboy132
- *sigh* I do not understand why people dislike my ideas. Whats wrong with helping someone make a decision of become Paladin or Dark Knight?
- There's a difference between helping and babbling.--Mystickskye 07:03, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- Because it is quite often biased information, keep that sort of debate to the forums. --Cyrus 18:23, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
The sole advantage of the paladin in the long run g9~+ is the stability of damage and the def/prot boost offered with activation. Dark knight forsakes stability for tanking power and a crack at 10 extra damage in a given stat <without int for consideration>.
If you guy didn't know, I've been working on a transformations break-down page for this sort of thing.Novaix 23:20, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Proficiency
How many times do you have to level up to get 100 points of proficiency when you are a champion? Nandattebayo 07:20, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- This really isn't a place to ask questions (we have a forum for that), but there's a table that lays out that information... --Cyrus 19:27, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
My friend recently got rank 1 Spirit of Order and he tells me that he gets +0.152 points per level (66 levels max, 100.32 points total).
Also, I've noticed when distributing points to other skills that it distributes the number of levels you have accrued through SOO (resets when you advance SOO) rather than the points.
- Example: With my rank 3 SOO I have about 80 points, but when I distribute the points, I can fully train four of my rank F skills before I run out of points, even though I don't have 400 points. Is this true for other people too? If not, then the levels needed for the other skills is only correct if your SOO stays at rank F.
By the way, sorry for not posting my sig up there (didn't know how) but I fixed it Nandattebayo 07:20, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Enchants
The enchant (I think it was Silver Fox) is obtainable by soldier gacha I think.-AokiRyuuTheDark
- No longer obtainable that way since the change on the soldier gachas due to the g9 patch...-AokiRyuuTheDark
Now with Generation 9
Paladin is the only human transformation that offers damage bonuses to Alchemy based skills now. --Bryanneo 05:09, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- What proof do you have? Or are you referring to Sword of Order?--Miyuna 05:54, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Yes Sword of Order, Alchemy is affected by enchants that give max/min damage so that should also apply to this skill, which Dark Knights don't have. --Bryanneo 18:04, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Interesting, then the Elf and Giant Transformation will also receive a bonus. --Miyuna 17:53, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Yup but Paladin's Sword of Order provides the most damage out of all the transformations, with tons of Stamina makes them excellent Alchemists. --Bryanneo 18:35, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Page 1 and 2 of the Paladin Book
For some reason one of my characters skipped g1 and completed g2 he got the book with pages 1 and 2 in it. It said on the page that if you completed g1 you get pages 1 and 2. -AokiRyuuTheDark
- You don't get those pages when you skip G2 (not G1). This limitation is only for servers that allow people to skip G2. --- Angevon (Talk) 14:35, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- if only a few servers allow a player to skip G2, then shouldn't the page mention that? for example: "if the player completed G2, the book will already contain Pages 1 and 2, whereas players who skipped G2 (only available on these servers: ______) will not" I haven't seen anything on the G2 page or this page that ever mentioned skipping G2 at all, only 1 and 3 --Vorthod 05:36, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have a character who skipped G1 and has the book with no pages in it. Perhaps there's another factor involved? Or maybe Aoki just glitched it somehow. Blargel 09:04, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- Scratch that, I have pages 1 and 2 inside already. Decided to do the quest because I was tired of having the book eat up space and had Eavan tell me that I already had page 1. Blargel 19:41, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Training Paladin Skill after Soul Of Order Rank 1 | 5 | 19:31, 25 June 2013 |
I've had doubts about this ever since i've got Paladin, but after you get Soul Of Order Rank 1, can you still train other Paladin skills? I mean, since you actualy transfer points from Soul Of Order to the other skills, once it is Rank 1 it shouldn't get points anymore, and you wont be able to transfer it to other skills, or so I suppose. Does it realy works like this? ty.
It still gets EXP. At rank 1 for Spirit of Order, Soul of Chaos, Fury of Connous, and Daemon of Physis it can store 66 Levels for you to use on the other skills.
You will still get points after reaching Rank 1 Spirit of Order, and yes, you will be able to use these points to train other paladin skills.
