I have r5 tasting and saw one of these not 5 star, and it had prot +0+6, should we mention that anywhere?

We would. But the problem is, the current food template doesn't have prot and defense in it's list.

so how do we go about notating that your tasting skill adds prot to whats already in the dish, whether it be 1+6 or 0+6?

For now, I'd suggest to just leave a note under the food information until fields are added to the food template.
