Talk:Instruments List

From Mabinogi World Wiki

request: I think it would be helpful to have the data of octave ranges for the instruments -- Ladywinter 23:39, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Instrument difficulty rating?

I've noticed that while playing my Ukulele and Lute, I get far more successes than I do on a Mandolin or a Flute. Has anyone else observed this and might think that different instruments have different success rates? --GN54 17:13, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Microphones

Shouldn't microphones get their own list? They're not instruments. Not sure what else to say.

They can use Score Scrolls, music buffs, and Singing.

Can microphones use Dischord?

Also, the microphone category in the weapon template needs to be changed, as they do not use Playing Instrument, but Singing, instead.

Yes, microphones deserve their own list. You cannot use Dischord with a microphone or mic-less singing. Also, Microphones use Singing rather than Playing Instrument, as Kiyoura said. (Only exception is, using Phantasmal Chorus with an instrument uses Singing instead of Playing Instrument.)

So which out of all these instruments are best for combat?

If there are BattleMando SP Ups, that. Otherwise..... Bass Drum?

Lyre, or is that too pricy?

Infodude57510:42, 26 July 2012

Lyre is 3-7 tho :C Bass Drum 2X max. Idr the number. Too lazy to check.

and thats if big drum has upgrades, otherwise, might as well gow ith a normal mando or if battle mando has noob upgrades, idk.

Drums cannot be upgraded unless this update made them upgradable o-o

Which is what im hoping. ;; despite the crappiness of this patch

it's not crap...then again...*maximizes mabinogi window and gets ear raped* FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU--

Naaah. It's pretty crappy ;; The only good thing is probably... hmm.. thaaaa-- no... nope. it's crap.

Good points:

  • increased int from easy training for Music Knowledge
  • Battle Mandolins flood every server...

Bad points:

  • all skills require certain playing rank (qq for my r7 playing bard)
  • Update geared towards those who like music
  • no combat updates :c

Good

  • Stat increases
  • Gives people something to do

Bad

  • Epic nerf of existing Battle Mandolins (even lower than new ones!)
  • Crappy damage weapons with 500% damage Rank 1 Dischord (wat. Smash with a poison effect for a couple of seconds + sloooow!)
  • Overplay all day, everyday until everyone finally gets bored of the patch, lul.
