Fireball (etc.) crystals not displaying rank | 4 | 01:39, 9 November 2013 |

It seems that the last update ended up making the ranks disappear. I had a few stacks of variously ranked crystals and now they all do not display a rank. Only those from the same stack are able to stack, so I think it is a bug.
Can someone confirm it? Also, should it be mentioned somewhere?
The crystals are now the same rank as the players Mana Crystallization. The old crystals might be trying to retain their ranks and not stacking properly, but ones obtained from now on should stack properly.
I can't tell if that is a good change or a bad one... does this also apply to Ice Mines? Oh well... time to sell all of my old crystals.
I have yet to start using Ice Mines regularly, so I'm not sure. I think this change is a bit bad, you used to be able to have a powerful mage assist you in making strong crystals, now that same mage makes crystals only as good as your mana cystallizational abilities. The gain is you can stack all the newer crystals together. Oh, and now you can't use those magic crystals without having the skill to begin with.
From what I can see, instead of a 'good mage' to give you r1 crystals to use, and mana crystallization 'reduces' damage, it's now always a r1 fireball crystal with the damage reduction based on skills. Going back to alchemy after a long time of ignoring it and building gunner from that, and found it incredibly OP after the revamp of it...
How much damage can a r1 fireball crystal do as far as base damage goes, how much does alchemy mastery increase this crystals damage, and does fire alchemy mastery affect this crystals damage aswell?
A r1 fireball crystal can deal 80% of what a rank 1 fireball's base damage can when Mana Crystallization is rank 1. Alchemy mastery does not affect the end damage of the crystal when using it. Instead, the MC and Transmutation ranks of the person creating the crystal, along with the AM rank, Int, wand, and skill rank of the person supplying the magic are used to determine the quality of the crystal.
