What would happen if you deploy Explosive Kunai and then unequip the shuriken before an enemy gets hit by it? Would EK use the stats after unequipping it?
It seems that ctrl clicking to place the traps does work on some enemies, but for others it doesn't. Works on stuff like foxes, imps, kobolds, rabbits, and bears, but not mongooses and aardvarks. Pretty weird.
Looks like they fixed it now, along with smokescreen. I can ctrl+click bats and rats without being massively delayed.
Unfortunately there's a set-up delay that puts the traps on the ground at the enemy's spot from where they were when you clicked on them, meaning that they can walk out of the way before they're fully deployed.
EDIT: Actually, it only seems to work for SAO dungeon mobs. I haven't thoroughly looked into this but field and shadow mission creatures still delay me heavily.
I don't think I ever experienced a delay. Just not being able to put the traps down on some monsters with ctrl target.
By "massively delayed", your character takes like 10 seconds or so to put down the trap and you can't cancel the skill until then, like your character freezes up.
Everything outside of dungeons. I can ctrl target White Spiders in Alby fine, but not for White Spiders in Tir Graveyard.
... And now its working fine on field white spiders since last maintenance and reinstall. Weird.
... But then it's still not working right on Shadow Cast City mobs.
It's probably an unintended effect, but should it be listed that you can use the kunai mines on the ground to burn/enchant burn items?
Not knowing could lead to accidentally burning something if you lag and also like to play with your inventory open...
Also, it's just kind of silly.
Just so it's out there, it doesn't take into account the rank of your Campfire skill when enchant burning using the kunai mines.
Doesn't the pop-up stop you though? I can't see anyone accidentally click the mine and then click "burn".
Anyway, it could be a glitch and if it is I see it as abuseable, making a semi-indefinite amount of "campfires" in a short amount of time with minimal resources (little stamina as opposed to the time it takes to get firewood).
They fixed it recently; hovering an item over the trap doesn't display anything (neither drop or burn) and clicking on it just makes your character walk over it.
I did a few test and the debuff duration is about 3 seconds long, my Explosive Kunai rank is rA at the moment. I'm going to test it again after i rank it to r9 to see if the Debuff is still 3 seconds.
No need to test duration; it's already known that it's 3 seconds for all ranks. The question is whether it's a 50% reduction at all ranks / for all mobs.
As far as what I tested, it is 50% regardless of mob or rank, even if passive defense activates, but I'm going to keep testing it. Although I tried it with a lot of different mobs, there could be a few that is immune.
I'm also starting to think there is a success rate, general because after some uses, mobs/players don't always get de-buffed.
Just how much does it reduce? This JP Tester Chart says 3000 and I have no idea what the hell that means.
I'm thinking 30%, I only noticed the speed reduction when EvG guy walked over kunai on purpose, and it was significant, but I'm not very clever for measuring speed in a game
Could be 300% or 3x, but no that would be too much...
