Usefulness
This skill sounds cool. o: I'm tempted to Google Translate, but I bet I'd end up with a horrible translation. BUTYAY, dodging! --~Zallist 02:20, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
I found a ridiculously good excuse to use evasion now... http://serviceapi.nmv.naver.com/flash/NFPlayer.swf?vid=396EF9B23189376BBC5D033081967832A366&outKey=V12749b6af0ddf63b7a35264feef201e046b6ccb623458ddc60ce264feef201e046b6 Watch till the end... lol! Imagine what would we call that? Evademill? Windvasion? --Dra6o0n 01:37, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Crazy! I'm gonna be loving that skill when it comes out! More ways to combo = fantastic! And I'm leaning towards Windvasion more; sounds definitely more interesting. I wonder what are some of the training requirements for Ranks 5 and above. --Phunkie 09:06, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- From what I see, there are three uses for "Windevade" or "Millvade" or "Evademill" or any other name for that matter.
- Elongate the "invincibilty" phase after a windmill.
- Close in the distance after a windmill so you can windmill again or
- Move away from the target to give you more time to load the next skill, presumably windmill.

- I like all three of them! :D I can't wait for this to come out. --Phunkie 15:09, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- You guys are thinking too advanced or far off it's purpose. This skill is great to dodge arrows and magic when you have no time to counter it with any of your skills. Especially when it comes to dodging a monster's high ranked firebolt. --Kaillera 15:36, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- This doesn't mean that Evasion can't be use for other purposes. It is evident that in the video the first person posted, the female Giant performed a Evasion->Windmill chain. Did you see the video?? Such chain could be very useful to gameplay, just as Charge alone or Charge->Smash is also. Besides, this is a wiki and this is a game, so let us be creative with our minds, will ya? --Phunkie 15:51, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Because spamming Windmill at every opportunity is a creative strategy...yeah. --Qaccy 20:48, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- There are enormous stamina costs in using this. I guess it does make it easier to pin monsters into a corner though. I guess it's just not a very good strategy for the poor.--Babohtea 03:36, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Consecutive Count
Does Consecutive Evasion Count represent the time the avoid-frames last? --Junjun 18:14, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
It means how many times you can roll at your skill rank, you can Evade twice or more in a row before the cooldown time takes effect. --Bryanneo 12:42, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Success Rate
What's the success rate represent: Activation? Or Avoiding oncoming attacks? --Junjun 18:14, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Incoming attacks, but I think timing plays a better role when it comes to dodging projectiles. I could be wrong but maybe the percentage is activated if you blindly use Evasion to try to evade attacks. --Bryanneo 12:41, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
iirc the maximum chance is activated when you roll right. That would be 100% at higher ranks. Since noone would probably be able to do it (and even if they did, it's still luck) on the internet where there's delay and all, I suppose there's no absolute 100%, but close enough at higher ranks when your time it well enough. Cooldown
What's the deal with the cooldown reduction that gets listed for ranks F and 9?
The chart shows an uniform cooldown of five seconds for all ranks. So either the chart is wrong, or the descriptions might be incorrect/misleading. In case of the latter, a note explaining this might be helpful. Anyone have any ideas? --Hecate 12:47, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Ok this is weird. It looks like I've been exhibiting a 5 second cooldown at rank F. It may be lag but after rolling I spammed evasion like crazy and it says to use in 4 more seconds. Even including the rolling time (which it doesn't, as the bar thing doesn't start moving in the icon), this is a bit too short. I'm pretty certain novice is 7 second cooldown though. Einherjar 11:01, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
CAN be obtained currently (G9)
people have glitched themselves (in tarlach server) to tara and are able to learn the skill but unable to get it passed novice at this time
- Wow, I wonder how they did that D: --Haven923 18:44, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'll tell you if its allowed (Have a look at my user page =D) -Kotarou3 05:08, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Officially this skill is still unreleased, and encouraging people to try and abuse the glitch is a bad idea, learning the skill is getting people banned and is pretty unwise considering it's trackable on the servers and proves you glitched. I know of 3 players in ruairi that have been banned over it already. Miyani 03:26, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- I suggest locking the page to prevent any more "here's how." KisaiTenshi 17:29, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Besides, Evasion at the moment does not do anything, the rolling effect is like an extra "gesture" until the skill is officially patched into the game.--Bryanneo 12:39, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Distance VS Sprite size
I was looking at the video, and the distance doesn't really look like 800 distance. Would it be safe to assume the distance also varies by sprite size, like Windmill?--Junjun 21:38, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure melee attack range applies to all melee skills.--Sozen Cratos Focker 05:33, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe you don't really have a good idea of what distance is. What distance do you think it is?--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 05:54, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
The Direction you evade in
What influences it? Knowing that we can better utilize the usefulness of this skill (evading towards the archer to counterattack for instance) --Bryanneo 13:20, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- The direction of your character is obtained from the displacement of the last coordinate of character to the current coordinate sent to the server.--Hengsheng120·TALKCONTRIBS 13:44, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- You will move in the last valid placement vector (aka the direction you last moved/attacked in as recognized by the server). It will always be the opposite direction you would move if you used fake death. Tellos 14:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Location
Under the "Skills" heading on the wiki home page, Evasion is listed under "Magic", yet it is a combat skill. I don't know how to edit the main page, so could someone please fix this?--Th3Evil5Ponge 18:36, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Giants and Evasion
Thus far, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is in distance, but Giants evade farther than humans or elves.
- Evasion distance is based on frame size. A lot of combat skills are frame dependant. Windmill uses frame size to determine valid location, Charge's strike animation speed is frame size depenadant as well. Frame size is not necisarily dependant on character model. You can tell something's frame size by the size of the targeting reticule when you try to attack it.Tellos 18:54, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
Cooldown Time
I'm pretty sure that the cooldown time for evade is the time it takes to "roll" + 5 seconds. Because I got hit with an arrow at the beginning of my role at rF and spammed the evade hotkey and it said 5 seconds. -- Tylian (TALK · CONTRIB) 05:01, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- The cooldown is whatever time it says for your rank. Cooldown starts as soon as you start rolling. --κєνıи (»тαıĸ«) 05:12, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- The skill is put into cooldown when evasion starts, but the timer itself doesn't begin untill evasion ends or fails. Tellos 16:13, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

- On that note, it is hard to tell if that was an actual evade, or if the demigod hit-ignore thing kicked in. I assume he was actually dodging in case the wizard was trying to bolt him.--Hecate 04:56, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Elven Magic Missile
I removed a point in the Details about Elven Magic Missile:
—Evasion Details |
It isn't something very big, but if I recall correctly, Elven Magic Missile isn't a ranged attack. First and foremoest, it can also be used with all wands excluding Combat Wand. Second, when used against an enemy with Mana Reflector, it will trigger Mana Reflector, not Natural Shield. Mana Reflector will also reduce the damage received by Elven Magic Missile. Should we remove this point entirely or add Elven Magic Missile in the same category of the Advanced Magics?--ZephyreTALK 20:16, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Listing of archery attacks
If all archery attacks can be evaded, why do we need to list them? Doing so is just redundant and totaly unnecisary. Tellos 08:19, 26 November 2010 (PST)
