Weapon Prefixes

Revolver and Divide are listed here as prefixes and on the enchant rank page as suffixes, so which is it?--Jacobpaige 00:57, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Enchant question

If you were to enchant an item with a Rank A Suffix, would it be possible to then enchant it with a Rank 9 Prefix?

BladeBlade 09:04, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

No. Suffixes can only overwrite suffixes, and prefixes can only overwrite prefixes. In order to enchant a Rank 9 prefix, a Rank A prefix must already exist (or be enchanted) on the item to be enchanted with the Rank 9 Prefix. Learned this one the hard way...--Demaetri 07:41, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks from saving me learning the hard way...stupid hamster items, costing 100k each... BladeBlade 06:44, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

This Page needs more redirects

When searching, it's pretty letter by letter to type in the search box to find this page. I know a few people would type in "Enchant Order" or "Enchant sequences" or "Ench Path upgrade". This page needs more redirects, can someone do it? And I am sorry for being a nuisance but can anyone send me a link on how to do redirects link to me? I would love to add some for a few page. xx --Miyuna 02:28, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

"All" section

I figured to decrease the length of the page a good way would be to get rid of a lot of the repetition where the enchants could be placed on any item. After making the All section and removing those enchants from all of the other lists I think another good candidate for a separate section would be all those enchants which are for metallic items only.

I can't agree with this and am tempted to revert your change. My reasoning for this is that when someone is looking to see, for example, what the enchanting sequence is for boots, they won't want to look between the boots and all section. The duplication makes things more convenient.

I agree that this is likely why the page was structured the way it was originally. For a given item, what are all of my options to get the enchant I need on it? It is made for equipment slots as opposed to enchantable item type, if that distinction makes sense.

Weapons in particular look cluttered, but I think we just need to deal with it for the sake of utility.

I've reverted the changes. If you would like to change it back, please give a more solid reason. We shouldn't sacrifice utility for maintainability. If you'd like to pursue maintainability, there might be a way with some template magic, but I'm not good enough with templates to do that.

I figured it may be reverted, but I did want to present the possibility of it as an alternative. It is rather daunting to create the lists for each item type with all the duplication and that was a possible solution for that.
