Hey, I first notice this problem on the mythril lance feather gear, but it's here too, the base stats have been voided, it says giants can use it, and it says it repairs at tailor, it almost feels like it's been vandalized. I don't know if it's the new templates though, and I've not been so savvy with them, so I thought the appropriate thing to do was bring attention to it.

It's the template. I'm in the process of updating all of them, but so far I'm nearing the end of the C's.

Why was it changed to 15 hidden melee defense? Isnt it 20 and Composite 17?

There is no evidence to confirm that it has 20 hidden defense, and all the overseas resources point to it only having 15. The only shields with hidden melee defense larger than 15 are Vales and Composite shields.

The person that originally edited the article to say 20 def had made very few edits and had edited the information of the beholder to say 20 def too.

I'm of the opinion that the person might have just simply got it wrong rather than anything else but the community ran with it since the dragon shield was so rare and valued instead of reverting the value like for the beholder.

It would help if someone could test the defense to confirm though. Like, it wouldn't be too hard to get 0 protection (untamed broadstick) with a dragon shield and have an alt in -max gear with fixed damage attack in PvP. That's just my idea though, there are probably better ways.

I did a quick test and the avg dmg i recived was more or less same atleast. Seems it is 15 def

I don't see why no one just checks the db files. It's 15.

Hey guys, just added artisan upgrade info that i personally did at Nerys (dunbarton) today. It takes the last normal upgrade slot (2) and requires 100 proficiency w/ 20k. Just got an Artisan today. You can get 10 will. First Artisian I applied I got 2 prot, 2 def, 10 will, and 4 stam. I can provide screenshot to prove if needed.
