Probably...speed upgrades on the Phoenix Fire Wand only apply to fire spells, other spells instead get their MP costs increased by that amount (as observed by me personally). This wand's disappointing, really. :( Qaccy 11:22, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

If you compare it to Phoenix and Crown, yes it lacks luster. But Thunder's main weakness is the MP usage, which this almost effectively 1/2s at a cost of 35% dmg. It's not a bad exchange, also cause Thunder does have a large attack range. --DarkWyvern 06:38, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

i recentlly made an ego of this wand

i recieved 3% damage at lv 13 int.

this is all the info i can provide atm

1.

type: high mana and damage reduction(more efficient)

upgrades 0-4: Lightning Elemental Restraint 1

final stats and changes: mana consumption -30% damage reduction -25%

notes: for the most efficient sequence trade the 5th Lightning Elemental Restraint 1 for the artisan upgrade. sense the artisan upgrade adds int. it adds magic damage which makes the wand more mana-to-damage efficient.

type:highest casting speed boost(less mana usage and damage reduction + more efficient)

upgrade 0: Lightning Elemental Restraint 1

upgrade 1: Lightning Elemental Acceleration 1

upgrade 2: Lightning Elemental Acceleration 2

upgrade 3: Lightning Elemental Acceleration 3

upgrade 4: Artisan Upgrade

final stats and changes: mana consumption -6%, damage reduction -5%, casting speed + 12%, int +26~+80 hp/mp +2~+5

notes: for people who want to cast faster without losing as much damage. with the max int bonus from the artisan upgrade you will end up losing only 1% of your damage wile still geting the max casting speed bonus and 6% mana usage reduction

ending statement: if someone feels that these are important enough to add to the main page go ahead and do so.

I'd add them, 'specially since the second one you added was how I upgraded my Crystal Lit Wand. I don't know how to add them, however. I think they should be added though. =P --Simpet 19:59, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

why would you do this as even though it takes less mana it also reduces how much you do which -15% is alot of damage when the skill is thunder as i cannot see why do do any reduction to mana usage thing for bolts since it is only 5mp per bolt when on rank 1 of any bolt skill

Example: Using Thunder to kill the Hobgoblins while rafting. Assuming you're a high rank Thunder, the damage reduction won't hurt, but the mana use reduction would be helpful. Otherwise, play style. With the spell books and meditation's regen rate, you could probably cast nearly unlimited Thunders without drinking MP potions (assuming you didn't endlessly spam it) at night time with -40% reduction. --Simpet 19:54, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
