Details

Quest Icon - Royal Institution.png Up to 80 Artisans of each type and 150 Royal Alchemists will be instated each week.
  • You can only hold one type of Royal Artisan or Royal Alchemist position.
    • When applying for a different position in the Royal Institution, you must withdraw any active applications.

How to Become a Royal Institution Member

Players must speak with Sinead in Rath Royal Castle regarding Royal Institution matters. In order to apply, the player must meet certain criteria:

  • Royal Blacksmith - Dan 3 Blacksmithing
  • Royal Tailor - Dan 3 Tailoring
  • Royal Enchanter - Rank 1 Enchanting
  • Royal Alchemist - All Alchemy-related Skills Rank 1 (or Dan 3 where applicable)

Selection of all positions in the Royal Institution will be determined with Royal Points through the following criteria:

  • Journal Score + Activity Points
    • In cases of a tie in the above criteria, a Milletian’s Cumulative Level will be taken into account, as well as when they applied for the position.
    • The following Journal Achievements are not included:
  • Guild War Achievements
  • Race Exclusive Transformation Achievements
  • The Kingdom’s Finest
  • Fashionable Diva

Application Process

The selection of Royal Alchemists and Artisans are appointed every Lughnasadh (Thursday) at 7:00 AM Server Time.

  • The application deadline ends 10 minutes prior.

When applying for a position with the Royal Institution, you’ll be provided with a Royal Notebook. The Royal Notebook will allow you to:

  • View your current Royal Points for the application process
  • See who is currently a Royal Alchemist or Artisan
  • Receive Royal Missions

Activity Points

  • Activity Points are earned through Royal Missions via various difficulties: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
  • After you’ve applied for a Royal Alchemist or Artisan, you can begin taking on Royal Missions to increase your Royal Point score.
  • Acquiring Royal Missions (from Sinead or your Royal Notebook) will be logged in your quest log under the new “Royal Institution” tab.

See below for a list of the quests that may be issued.

To ensure a candidate of the Royal Institution is well-rounded in their proficiency, point caps have been placed on all levels of missions. Any points earned above the cap are ignored.

  • Beginner - maximum of 600 points
  • Intermediate - maximum of 300 points
  • Advanced - maximum of 150 points

Withdrawing your application from a Royal Institute position will forfeit any Activity Points you’ve acquired for the week so far.

You will also be awarded Activity Points for being logged into Erinn.

  • You will receive 2 points every 5 minutes you are online, for a daily total of 120 points.
  • There is a weekly point cap of 450 points for being logged in.
  • Additionally, those who partake in the Royal Banquet on Samhain will receive 5 points per minute during the banquet. You are still beholden to the daily and weekly cap.
