OX Quiz Event/Questions Marked Incorrectly

This is a collection of questions that are marked incorrectly in the OX Quiz Event.

Questions that the event marks true but are actually false:

• A nectarine is a cross between a peach and plum.
  • They are just a different type of peach.
• A pregnant goldfish is called a twit
  • Goldfish lay eggs.
• Mercury is the only liquid to appear on the Periodic table of Elements.
  • Bromine is also liquid in room temperature. Francium, Cesium, Gallium, and Rubidium quickly melt at slightly warmer temperatures.
• Ash Catch'em is the last name of the main character from Pokemon.
  • His surname is Ketchum, not Catch'em.
• Superman's lover's name is Lois Lane.
  • The series was recently rebooted and in the reboot this is no longer true.
    • However, they have not gotten the "okay" from either of the creators of Superman to change it, so this is up for debate.
• Momentum is velocity multiplied by force.
  • Since force is mass times acceleration, the supposedly true statement can be reworded as "momentum is velocity multiplied by mass and acceleration", which is incorrect. Momentum is velocity multiplied by mass.
• The Onion Knight is a character class in Final Fantasy Tactics.
  • Technically this question should specify the game as "The Lion War" PSP remake since the original PSX version did not have this class.
• Queensland is the northwest province of Australia.
  • It is the northeast state.
• Girl Scout cookies are made with real girl scouts.
  • A line from the Adam's Family. This is not actually true.
• You will become a Zombie If one bites you.
  • This is based on common theory. There are other ways to turn into a zombie other than getting bitten.
  • There are curses in old folklore and stories that turns people into zombies and getting bit by one does not turn them.
  • There is also the dark arts in folklore that raises the dead. Getting bit by them will also not turn people into zombies.
• The first NASA mission to arrive on the moon was Apollo 11.
  • It was the first manned mission. It was preceded by unmanned missions, such as Surveyor 1 which landed on June 2, 1966.
• There have been six NASA lunar landings.
  • As above. There have been six manned landings, and several more unmanned landings.
• The highest point in all of Australia is 9,006 feet.
  • The highest point is Mount Kosciuszko, 2,228 metres (7,310 ft). The quoted height is that of Mawson Peak on Heard Island (2,745 m/9,006 ft). Heard Island is an Australian territory rather than part of Australia. If you are going to argue that an Australian territory can be regarded as part of Australia for the point of this question, then the correct answer would be Dome Argus (4,030 m/13,220 ft) in the Australian Antarctic Territory.
• The sum of the angles in any triangle is always equal to 180.
  • Needs the units "degrees". If units are not specified on an angle, it defaults to radians, not degrees.
• All bats turn left when they leave the cave.
• Bats turn left when exiting a cave.
  • This appears to be a myth.
• Zero Degrees Celsius is the freezing point of water.
  • This is only the case at 1 atmosphere of pressure, as different pressures can cause the freezing point to occur at different temeratures.
• Red, Blue, and Yellow are primary colors.
  • Historically this has been an accepted truth; however in modern times the subtractive primaries (pigments) have been found optimized at magenta, cyan, and yellow.
• A trumpet cannot be played without a mouthpiece
  • It is quite possible to play a trumpet mouthpieceless, and several highly skilled trumpet players do so on a regular basis.
• Windmill can be used to make Ranged Attacks.
  • Windmill is a melee attack.
• Spock from Star Trek has yellow blood.
  • Like all Vulcans, Spock's blood is green. Technically this is because copper, rather than iron, is the oxidizing agent.
• Helinski is the capital of Finland.
  • The capital of Finland is actually Helsinki; this is clearly a typo.
• The area between Taillteann and Tara is Blago Prarie.
  • Corrib Valley, not Blago Prairie.
• You can obtain a title by capturing a bear at age 10.
• You can obtain a title by capturing a bear bare-handed.
• You can obtain a title by capturing a bear in a single blow.
• You can obtain a title by capturing a golem in a single blow.
  • Slaying, not capturing.
• Polish is the only word in the English language that has two completely different meanings when the first letter is capitalized
  • There are many different words that also share this property; i.e. August, Job, Lima
• The Letter "t" is the second most common letter used in the English language.
• In the TV Show Avatar, Aang has an easy time firebending
• In the TV show Avatar, Aang has an easy time learning to firebend.
  • Although true for one part of the Water Book after an accident he has a very hard time learning it and performing it in Book 3 until his meeting with the Sun Warriors.
• Claimh Solas, after his blade awakening, doesn't have wings.
  • The blades formed are technically wings.
• Claimh Solas has a total of 3 blades.
  • There are four blades per wing, resulting eight total.
• In the video game Metal Gear Solid, Solid Snake's real name is Adam.
  • Solid Snake's actual real name is David.
• The hottest chile in the world is the habanero.
  • The Naga Bhut Jolokia, also known as the Ghost chile pepper is the hottest chile in the world.
• There is a furnace inside the Dunbarton Healer's House.

Questions that the event marks false but are actually true:

• Bart Simpson is the youngest son in his family.
  • He is the only son in the family, so technically this is true. Likely the question was meant to be "youngest child."
    • While he has a twin brother that lives in the attic, it was shown during a Halloween Special, and the Halloween Specials aren't canon to the show.
• In My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Equestria is ruled by Princess Celestia.
  • This may possibly refer to the idea that Equestria is co-ruled by Celestia and her sister, not by Celestia herself.
• Mario must fight the evil Koopa to rescue Princess Peach.
  • For three reasons: First, the generic Koopa minions; second, Bowser himself being King Koopa; third, Bowser has sometimes been referred to as "Koopa".
• The area between Emain and Tara is Blago Prarie.
