Details

Lorna says... A Reminder!
A subpage usually refers to a lower level web page in the wiki. This is marked with a / in the page's name!

  • Every monster should have its own page. The areas where it can be found, filed as /Instance subpages.
    • Ex: Red Spider/Alby Advanced Hardmode will contain the data of the monster found in that instance of Alby Hardmode dungeon, but all information on the Red Spider itself will be on its main page.

Forms Required

About Location

  • The locations will be automatically listed from the /Instances that exist of that monster currently, and do not need to be manually put in.

About Instances

Generally, for a monster to have an /Instance subpage:

  • The monster must be encountered in a specific location, and have different stats than the currently existing instances;
  • Field and Shadow Mission Monsters should first be sorted by /Field and /Shadow World names first.

Field Monsters

  • If a field monster is significantly different from is regularly-met counterpart, create a subpage of /Field for it alone.
    • Ex: Red Spider/Field/Specific Location

Shadow Mission Monsters

  • File the various difficulties of any given shadow mission as separate instances under /Shadow Realm.
  • Only use this for monsters that are met through the Taillteann and Tara Stonehenges.
    • Ex: Shadow Wizard/Shadow Realm/Advanced
    • Ex: Demonic Poet/Generation 17
  • Any monster that does not fit its other Shadow Mission counterparts should be taken as an exception and a specific subpage should be created for it. For instance, the Shadow Wizard in the Shadow Mission 'Let Them Fight' can cast Thunder; others do not.

The Shadow Wizard may also be encountered as a Boss; in this case, a new monster should be created.

  • Ex: Shadow Wizard (Boss)/Shadow Realm/... VS Shadow Wizard/Shadow Realm/...

About Monster Families

Pan says... A practical tip!
See how the Haunted Monsters category differs in structure from the Haunted (Family) page. The family page will list every monster included in sub-categories as well!
A family is a class of monsters that regroup monsters that most people would agree share a common type: Spiders, Bears, Wolves, etc.
Monsters are categorized by family in two ways: Through old-fashioned categories, and through their specific family. The categorization of the monsters is automatically done through the monster info box.

  • The Monster Info Box template should only have the Main families in which a monster is part of.
    • In the event that a monster's multiple families are related, only list the most specific family in the infobox.
      • Ex: Desert Ghosts are a sub-family of Haunted monsters due to lore. Thus, Desert Ghosts only have 'Desert Ghost' as their family in the infobox.

About Protection information

Use the following lines only. Replace N's with the corresponding values:

  • This enemy must be hit N times with Brionac / Pragarah to reduce its Protection stats to zero.
  • This enemy is immune to Brionac and Pragarah.
  • This enemy's protection and magic protection can only be reduced by N% which can be achieved with approximately N hits of Brionac and Pragarah.
  • This enemy does not have any magic protection.

If the enemy has no protection, omit the segment entirely.

About NPCs that are battled

Construction.png The contents of this section is still being discussed for revamps by the editing team. Information will be put here as decisions are taken by the team of editors and is still subject to changes.
  • Mainstream NPCs that are fought as a part of a Generation or Sidequest should have a subpage created to hold the data.
    • Ex: Ruairi is battled in different generations. All of the relevant data should be filed per generation.
      • Ex: Ruairi/G03, Ruairi/G17/S1, Ruairi/G17/S2, etc.

Gallery

  • Use one file per region within the same continent. If the map is too big, you may crop the unneeded part(s), as long the final result is easily legible.
    • For instance, there should only be one map location for monsters in Nubes Mountains, Muyu Desert and Maiz Prairie, as they are part of Rano.
